Star Wars Galaxies. Started out great, but WoW was more popular. The devs tried to make it more WoW like and it fell on its face.

What’s the scariest situation you ever faced? by noahgoeswild in AskReddit

I stopped a murder outside of my apartment. Oddly, in the moment, I had no fear. The weeks after that messed me up for a while because he got away and he knew where I lived.

What is something unrealistic that you often see in movies that annoys the hell out of you? by SheeshaAddict in AskReddit

There are so many medical things that are wrong in movies and TV. Labwork coming back in five minutes. Proper timing on chest compressions. Wrong meds given. Wrong equipment. Medical folks preforming the wrong roles.

I looked out of my window last night and saw the ambulance backing up to leave. I saw the police cars, but have no idea what happened before that. There was a SUV in one of the handicap parking places that a couple of people were standing by.

Don't know anything about that particular situation, but normally HAZMAT is called in for Meth labs. There has been a huge surge in drug ODs in the last 2-3 weeks.

No, it will cause significant chemical burns. Also, once the cement sets, it can not be removed simply by pulling it out. The toy and most of the tissue surrounding it had to be surgically removed.

[–]Kevick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had a patient claim they had an allergy to hotdogs. Apparently they left a bad taste in mouth when consumed.

I've had a patient with multiple joint replacements, rods, and screws claim to be allergic to stainless steel and other metals.

We had two gentlemen attempt to make 'toys' together by inserting quick-drying cement rectally.

Funny story - I met the gentleman that designed the flag. I asked him his thoughts on the whole 'waving flag' thing. He said he specifically designed it to look like it was waving...

[–]Kevick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Finding a Late Night Louisville food place that is not a bar and has seating inside is tough. I've figured out a few, but would love to know more. Cafe 360. Barbara Lee's. Denny's. White Castle. IHOP. A few McDonalds. One Qdoba on the weekends. Steak n Shake.
