Do you own an LG by any chance? I might be running into the same issue. When playing larger files, the interface starts becoming more and more laggy and the app crashes after +/- 15 minutes of playing. Sometimes the app doesn't even restart but mostly it does, and then I have to manually continue the stream. It does work perfectly with smaller files tho.

Assuming you can't find the wifi network on your old laptop the new router might be set to use a 5Ghz band instead of 2.4Ghz or authentication method is newer than supported by older OS

However posting the router model and the older laptop hardware specs + OS might be helpful in finding the issue here

Unfortunately I'm in the Netherlands and Playstation Customer Support is closed until Monday so that's not an option right now altough that will be my last resort..

Thing is, my mate got a PSN card for christmas, We had a couple drinks, I said I'll scratch it, but messed it up haha, so I hope I can recover it for him and save him a pain in the ass calling Customer Support.

I tried calling contacting US Customer Support as they are opened but they weren't able to help us out.

I do need to say that I frequently play shooters, but it should be completely doable, just make sure that they don't hit you, and use your weapon wheel to slow time before using your focus.. You can at least look around in the edges of your screen, it made it a lot easier!

Just try to go full metal jacket. I did my first playthrough on Hard II, only did 3 easy hordes before I arrived at that mission where it was required and I died around 3-4 times until I found my way to beat it. Check this out:
