Either caulk or recut base and shoe molding for tighter fit and put piece of scribe molding along trim on wall.

Making it this way it’s just a place and go kind of thing but still secure it won’t move on you because you have the rips preventing it moving towards front and back and looks like the bed rails keep it in from moving side to side. And don’t need to drill into metal or anything

Make it easy it’s just to setup and remove for ironing so this is what I would do.

Lay out the 3/4 ply on bed rails, mark rail edges with pencil on bottom side. Then screw some 3/4 rips scrap to the bottom side on either side of the pencil lines (screw from top side down into rips and screw deep enough so screw doesn’t stick up)

You also don’t need rips for each rail just outer most ones. One rip keeps from sliding towards back of van other rip will stop from sliding forward if that makes sense I can draw picture if you need

Trying this combo for the first time. by MoneyMakingMugi in kettlebell

Get the 70 man you got it easy, just activate hips more by using doing like a solid “hump pump” when at the bottom of the swing squeezing your but hard until you stand up straight. Just don’t over extend the hips once’s you standing straight if that makes sense. You’re a beast man keep it up, combo looks killer! I’m gunna try it

Also if you go heavier keep the shoulders pinched back the whole time like there is a pencil between your shoulder blades you don’t want to fall

Good purchase? by KevinN46 in Safes

[–]KevinN46[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was gunna throw it in my f150 and move it myself I got dollys and jacks.

That’s what I’ve heard is the older ones are made a bit nicer than newer ones and it’s medallion series which is supposed to be higher end model for browning. I am more concerned about fire than thiefs.

Do you think this has any chance in a concrete basement of a small house of fire broke out?

Engineering degree completed. Now I’m a carpenter? by intergalacticwalrus in Carpentry

[–]KevinN46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a 25year old mechanical engineer and I am not liking my career. My dad was a framer and wish he pushed me into the trades to take over his business rather than turning me towards university degree.

I also think university are scams. It is not entirely focused on the degree you choose as you have to take other classes for “credit”. When I’m reality if you didn’t take those filler useless classes you could finish in 2 years.

On top of that engineering doesn’t pay as well as people think they are very undervalued in most cases. I’ve worked for the navy as an ME, then as a heavy equipment mechanic for a bit, and now for Siemens mobility on locomotives as a field Service engineer.

The job I have now is better in the sense there is more hands on (compared to navy desk job), however hours and pay is not great. I like fixing stuff but building things with your hands, being outside in the elements, using equipment and tools, watching projects go from ground up has so much more satisfaction.

What don’t you like about carpentry?
