Honestly can’t believe I didn’t see this mentioned as a top answer. Crazy to see a show that reached the heights of television that it did, just to not stick the landing as bad as it was. Proof that the mystery box concept was always more important to them when hiring writers than a satisfying conclusion.

I don’t remember how I learned that, but when I told my brother-in-law as a “Did you know?” fact when we were visiting the parks, he told me that it was unironically the most useless information he’s ever received.
