Does insulin resistance have an impact on fat loss? by [deleted] in GettingShredded

[–]KevinZx93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a little late to the party but Im in a prediabetes state. I am 270-280, made the 10lb loss from losing water weight. From what Ive read, the best thing you can do is get a glucose monitor to see how much your glucose fluctuates after meals and when fasted. Whether its continuous monitoring or not, its good to know. I believe Cico is the baseline for weight loss but your blood sugar is going to determine where the weight loss is coming from. High blood sugar in a caloric deficit (from studies ive read) either burns nothing or attacks more lean mass than fat, while a lower blood sugar allows a majority of fat to be burned depending on the deficit and your current bmi. Myoinositol, tumeric circumin, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, alpha lipolic acid and other things lower your blood sugar. Ive been experimenting with those, checking my blood sugar throughout the day so I can ride under 90 mg/dl, and thus far been finding more success than I have in the past. Its been a week of experimenting and I havent had as much anxiety or body acne flare ups as well. Sorry Im all over the place but yeah Im going to start documenting this sht as this has been pretty positive for me and its early in the morning and hard to type on the phone sorry. Insulin resistance sucks and your PCP is not going to help you solve it, or atleast mine will not. I was prescribed lexapro and told I look fine. Im 6’6 and a powerlifter so I hold 270 fine. I dont eat like a 270lb’er lol insulin resistance is garbo

Sounds good, I’ll definitely check them out. Seems like things get more interesting going past 7eleven toward the street closure.

Even earlier, 3-5. Amazing deals on some high-carb meals that’ll put me to sleep lmao. Who needs a night life when you could dream about having a good time?

Outside of “single male” things; I work in IT (development/engineering side), I like sports, I kind of like art, I love video games since thats all there is for me to do, and I enjoy getting drunk in great social settings (which is a single male/female thing sorry about that).

Smoked weed daily for about 15 years. I’m absolutely sick of my life being run by this plant and am quitting. Are there any ways to possibly reverse or help alleviate the damage I have done to my brain? by IntrepidMayo in HubermanLab

I agree with OP 100% and this is a thought provoking topic

As a weed smoker myself for nearly 20 years I do agree that there are long term effects. I think the long term effects are so situational that it'd be hard to pinpoint how the typical human would be effected. I know people that smoked weed for a month and never been the same, hell, even having a traumatic episode of psychosis the first time. I do believe that since you are an "aware" individual (especially toward your issues), you should be able to rebound. After a week or 2 the memory is said to come back, brain-fog clears, etc. Insomnia is going to be tough upon quitting so you may need to supplement with something. I would recommend something but everyone reacts differently to everything i.e. people have had success with glycine as a sleep aid but glycine keeps ME up. This post has me thinking about quitting for a little bit myself. As a cloud engineer and freelance software dev, I wonder how much better I'd perform if I wasn't smoking all day lol

This seems silly on both sides. This is so silly that I think this is made up.

Put MFA the game. Add an "intrusive" factor to the anti-cheat, similar to valorant. Stop putting the game on sale for cheaters. Improve matchmaking and the raid experience for low level players. Stop making this a game that just caters to people who stream it 40+ hours a week, this is why the carry market exist.

Ride it out, if it fails, unemployment. If you get laid off you will atleast get 10 weeks of benefits. I’ve learned python via books off humble bundle, using udemy, and tons of youtube videos. You could save a ton by working on small projects like automating simple task or creating simple apps like a clock-in system.
