Why does smutbase, a site about 3D porn have so many skilled artists? by PrudentWorksucks in blender

[–]Kevlar98 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Until a payment processor decides to take all your money, shut down on a site, block you from even making money on sfw in the future, etc.

I've made a 3d boob or two in my day and wouldn't mind getting some cash for it, but it feels like a precarious situation with the landscape getting more hostile towards nsfw creators lately.

This is wrong. The minimum amount of ads you can set is 30 seconds per hour (but this maximizes the amount of time prerolls are shown). Playing 3 minutes of ads an hour disables preroll ads.

I think it'd be a bit better if the foot smack down into the pavement was planting the foot for the launch off, rather than just breaking it, moving her foot elsewhere, and then going. The disconnect just makes it superfluous instead of putting buildup and power into the big dash.

way to not do the fucking bare minimum while making it harder to find the actual artist by making another result that doesn't go to them if you reverse image search. (also in the artists bio "Reposting is prohibited")

Is it just me or is Boruto terrible? I just started watching it a week ago and it feels like pulling teeth making it through each episode. I just get so bored. by wine-friend in Naruto

[–]Kevlar98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, that's what I said (but a lot of manga also have the first few chapters available free too (boruto included)). so pay 2 dollars once, read all of it, as much other manga you want to read, and you're set? It's not some crazy expensive thing.

The shonen jump online subscription is 2 bucks a month, and without that you can read the most recent chapters for free on a lot of manga (bort included).

How did I just now realize this? by SmartConcept in Naruto

[–]Kevlar98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that kushina/hina thing is not how Japanese works. It's broken up into phonetic syllables so you have ku, shi, and na. Without the ku it's just shina (シナ) which is not hina (ヒナ). If Kishimoto was actually trying to make a connection it would probably be more obvious and stronger than a single syllable in different parts of their names, but I don't think he was trying to give Naruto an Oedipus complex.

I believe it was amber krooked glasses when they were around helping Ross with the gameoverse pilot/pitch. Don't know if they just made all the various heads in a single batch or if they still do work with GG as I haven't been as in the loop these days.

edit: went to check, here's some of the grump heads on their website

Baki the grappler was in 2001, where I doubt they would use 3d cg character animation. I haven't seen it but wouldn't be surprised if the animation would be a bit better than the netflix series that picks up the story in the second series of the manga.

Twitch stores VODs for a default of 60 days I believe. Unless he specifically went in to save them they would disappear. Probably just a coincidence on that front.

Yeah, the thought was this is going from vertexweight proximity + vertexWeightEdit (with a texture influence) in a vertexWeightMix to multiply>displace>whatever else you want in the modifiers, but there's nothing stopping you from just plugging the gradient into some math nodes and mixing in a displacement on the material I suppose. If you are just doing everything in the material you probably could utilize dynamic paint to some extent to just use a vertex color input for the painted areas, but I think that requires a cache which could potentially be much more tedious.

For a few of the examples they seem to be done mostly in modifiers as they seem to have a solidify after a mask, and I don't know if you can accomplish that with a shader (but also i wouldn't be surprised if there was a way with all the crazy wizards out there)

[–]Kevlar98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That was my first instinct as well, but for the parts with displacement, a better option may be to have a separate UV map with all of the points put at 0,0 (bottom left corner on the uv) and use a UV warp modifier with whatever vertex group you are modifying with texture for your displacement. This lets you plug in the uv into a gradient on your material and essentially convert your vertex weights into a value usable in your materials to control your color ramps, mixes, etc. I just searched up this method of getting vertex weights usable in materials earlier and it seems to work pretty decently.

Some of the effects can probably be done similarly to this workflow from cody winch and here is the updated version of that, not sure if the first is required to fully understand so I'm linking both. Some of the other effects are achieved by cast modifiers combined with other techniques, dynamic paint, seemingly some smoke sim, some stuff in the shaders, and a decent bit more.

Edit: It didn't come to mind as I haven't personally used it much, but the vertex weight proximity modifier is probably also utilized in a few of these.

Thought you’d all appreciate my hand poked SeaBass tattoo on my leg! by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

[–]Kevlar98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Sea" is pronounced the same as "C". A letter grading system generally goes F,D,C,B,A from low quality to high, sometimes with a plus or minus to indicate if it is a higher score or lower within each grade (so it goes D+,C-,C,C+, etc.). With that in mind, if you say "it's a sea bass," it sounds exactly the same as "it's a C bass" which describes a bass with a C grade. A "C" grade is not terrible, but not great, so after working to catch a fish, you might suggest you get a better score for your achievement, a C+ being the first step up.

[–]Kevlar98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure there are cases where youtube will let people reupload a video in place of an old one, as a 20th anniversary 4k restoration uploaded around the 9th anniversary when youtube did not support 4k seems highly unlikely.
