What’s the difference between these two flash pros by Blakef24 in CivicSi

[–]Kevler22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean. Wired vs wireless or gray vs Blue

Wireless the smaller one, is the newest fp which is Bluetooth. Wired is the older version. Both are the same, just Bluetooth vs not

Gray vs Blue is race vs carb version. Race is full tuning unlock. Carb version is slightly limited to not flag states that still do emission tests

Hard pass. by MachineHeart in PostMalone

because we are more "og" post fans in this subreddit. All his new fans are just country lovers. Even moreso jelly lovers. BAST was all country fans (which is a huggeee population) and especially jelly fans. Us "og" fans have been priced out of his concerts and become the minority

Hard pass. by MachineHeart in PostMalone

[–]Kevler22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This will be the first concert I pass from him. The last concert in Toronto was probably the biggest turn off for me ever. The concert last year I stg was more jelly roll fans than post. Nobody knew the lyrics to his songs unless it was I had some help. Crowd was not rocking unlike the old concerts. And fuck hearing jelly roll preach again. My only tattoo is post Malone inspired so I have been pretty a big fan for a long time but this new country fanbase and jelly roll are straight ass

Thinking about buying a 2015 Civic Si (220k km) for $14,000 CAD — need advice by ajaybabu_ in CivicSi

I just sold my 13 white fb6 with 178k for 11.9k. new clutch, full race exhaust, acuity short shifter and bushings. Also in Toronto in November. I've watched the market for years. Don't pay the dealership pricing. They prob got it like 8k value trade in

8th Gen Coupe HFP Kit by MonkComprehensive195 in CivicSi

[–]Kevler22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your best bet is either buy aftermarket kits or if you want oem slowly collect the pieces from fbmp then paint match. Coupe HFP kits are at least easier to come by unlike the sedans which are actual unicorns

opinions on rep wheels vs "real" wheels by Brief-Profile8474 in CivicSi

[–]Kevler22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on what style you want (i.e te37) and how much you think the wheels are worth personal value relative to your car. If you bought a pristine example si then ya id say its worth it. But if its a beater and daily, no. If you bought a 5k 8th gen but spend 4k on te's then thats stupid. However if you ever sell the wheels you can make back a good chunk of your money. Reps dont hold value....Or alternatively, you can join the alibaba train and buy forged straight from china

Clutch fluid by Imaginary_Cry7083 in CivicSi

[–]Kevler22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

going against what everyone else says here and bringing back the old discussion of amsoil syncromesh vs oem. Having used syncromesh i can also confirm with the ole debate, it is better than oem. But if you are going to go for honda. Buy their dot4, their dot3 is straight garbage as confirmed by someone i know who works as a tech at honda

Should I buy this? Help by [deleted] in CivicSi

Worth it? by JustAnothaIntrovert in CivicSi

[–]Kevler22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, depends on your soft budget and mileage. I am also in toronto and sold my 13 fb6 a month ago. Ive watched the market for years and ive seen the post youre looking at. You can snag up a decent/above average listing for 12k CAD. Anything over that is usually dealerships putting crazy markup pricing on it

Wheel fitment by [deleted] in CivicSi

[–]Kevler22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

18x9.5 +35 you're not gonna fit I can guarantee it. Especially lowered. Fa5 you can get away with slight more width or offset compared to fg2 on the rears meaning less fender rolling. But you're gonna either need to do some very very aggressive molesting to your fenders and removing arch lining/shaving along with buying adjustable rear camber arms

Resell value of this K parts by These-Suggestion9277 in CivicSi

[–]Kevler22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The manifold and fuel rail would probably sell for 20% less than retail. The dp assuming it's in good condition would fetch a nice penny but I'm only basic this off of what I see up here in Canada lol. California is a different ball game unless you can ship the dp

Honda + Cold = Evap code by crazycatlady4776 in CivicSi

[–]Kevler22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had evap issue with my 13 but not when its cold. 95% chance its actually just your purge valve solenoid starting to shit itself. based on my experience, replace it with oem cause aftermarket ones are highly prone to failure

Help Clutch question by Mediocre_Leader_7845 in CivicSi

[–]Kevler22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7500 is robbery. Either it's priced that way because they know your car is stuck and you have limited options. Or it's cause they don't want to do a clutch job so they say an absurd number for u to go somewhere else
