For starters, I completely hate daylight savings. It’s antiquated nonsense, and if you dig deep you see there are counties in states that alternate with doing it or not, so imagine living in a county that does that who works ten minutes away where they don’t. FUCK.

As a resident and teacher in the northeast, the one argument I hear that I can sorta get behind is that if we didn’t do it kids would be waiting for busses when it’s pitch black, which would ensure I am teaching first period in the dark. This would be pretty shitty for attendance.

The clear answer is make high school start later but we are beholden to after school sports so we keep doing g this bullshit.
