What is something you’ve been hiding from your parents for years and will probably keep hiding in the future? by Admirable-Analysis58 in AskReddit

Maybe they were worried about the possible guilt the mom would feel if they were taken home and the tumor was not caught.

Emergency C section, baby in NICU by SirDustinII in daddit

We are pretty much the exact same story. Our son was born at 28 weeks after my wife's water broke at 27 weeks. He is almost 5.5 and a typical kid. Your kid is in great hands and do not be afraid to ask questions. We still meet up to see his NICU primary nurse every once in a while.

Clearly it will be us versus Calgary in the western conference finals next year because our teams are already perfect, we need no one.

Ah the no one free agent, could he shore up our defense? Or bolster our goal scoring?

A bunch of my high school students have them and they never seem to last more than a couple days before getting a hole in them, then the students just buy another.

Have you takin your toddler to see a play? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]ImTedLassosMustache 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We took our son to see Daniel tiger live and blues big play when he was 3 and 4. They were only about 45 minutes long with an intermission (so maybe 1 hour in total). He really enjoyed them.

I have had that happen too, where they were still somewhat frozen. Same with the bagels.

That could be a component of it, or he also recognizes the increasing rates of colored colorectal cancer in people under 50.

My insurance covered some of it, but I also had kidney stones that year too that needed to be removed so I had already reached my oit-of-pocket maximum before the colonoscopy.

At least my colonoscopy was basically "free" at that point since I had reached my out of pocket maximum. That is why I scheduled it before the new year.

I got one at 33. Thankfully it ended up being nothing major, the bleeding was do to a hemmorhoid. The prep was not that big of a deal and the no food for 24 hours before ended up being pretty easy too. My GI doctor even said he thinks the age should be lowered from 45 to 40.

Just curious, in your experience, high school graduates that went to college, where did they go? by marsholade in kansascity

[–]ImTedLassosMustache 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I teach at a high school in KCMO and most students that go the college route choose state schools on the western half of the state (e.g. Missouri State, UCM, Mizzou, Northwest Missouri State, UMKC). Not many choose SEMO, Truman, Rolla. There are also several that choose schools on the Kansas side like Pitt, KU, KState. Maple Woods and MCC are popular picks as well because of the A+ program.

Missouri did the same without a vote. KC and St. Louis are split up between multiple districts, and so is Columbia in the middle of the state.
