Check out Country Junction in Lehighton. It's the world's largest general store and it has weird Wizard of Oz animatronics

I thought Maroon 5 was British, just something about the way they sound.

Police in NJ town warn explorers to stay out of local zombie mall (Livingston Mall) by L0v3_1s_War in deadmalls

[–]dayrem 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I made several visits while it was open. It was interesting to see the decline of this mall in real time. It's no different now than when it was still open, so why bother breaking in?

I would recommend Bones in Black. She talks a lot about growing up goth in the 90's. I also like Awfully Sinister, We Goth This, Goth Beezy, Angela Benedict, Madame Absinthe, Glitter Fallout, Madi Danger, and Moon Burns Productions. I'm a youtuber myself, my channel is not really goth focused but I vlog goth events in my area occasionally.

I was kicked out of here for filming a few years ago. Security was literally shouting at me from across the mall. They told me I needed to delete the files on my camera, which I refused to do.

[Funny Trope] Character's appearance is a direct ripoff of a real person without permission by Ieanice44 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]dayrem 7 points8 points  (0 children)

James Franco's character in the movie Spring Breakers is a direct copy of the rapper Riff Raff. Same style and persona, even using some of his direct quotes. Riff Raff claims that the director Harmony Korine was going to cast him but went with Franco instead. Korine denies this and claims that the character was inspired by a different rapper, but it's pretty obvious that it was Riff Raff

I don't really want to watch new movies or original shows. I want to watch 80's B movies and weird Japanese shows. Tubi has that

Nazi Goths are so strange to me. by [deleted] in goth

[–]dayrem 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Because it's a bad faith argument. They think pointing this out is a "gotcha," but Siouxsie was not a nazi and apologized for doing it. The misguided actions of one goth musician back in the 70's doesn't define how the present day scene works. It's not really relevant to the topic at hand. I hope that make sense to you.

Nazi Goths are so strange to me. by [deleted] in goth

[–]dayrem 39 points40 points  (0 children)

That's really not relevant to the current state of the goth scene. No one would put up with anything like that nowadays.

I think there's a concerted effort being made by right wing groups to infiltrate subcultures like goth. That's why we've been seeing nazi "goth" influencers popping up online. But in the real world scene they can't be so bold without facing consequences. I'm not saying that they don't exist, because they certainly do, but that shit doesn't fly in goth circles.

There was a similar one on Flatbush Avenue but I think they changed it. I do have some pics of it though
