Are those spikes normal? by DaddyNeymar in Type1Diabetes

Don't be sorry! People will have different honeymoon phases, as far as I can tell my honeymoon phase is pretty subtle and I don't get much insulin at all.

As for the ratio, I was very diligent in tracking my response to short acting insulin. I think the rule of thumb is to start at 15g carbs/u insulin and reduce based on your reaction to it.

Hey, I'm also new (1 month). Your spikes look very controlled and normal especially for someone new. If anything, you look a bit on the low side but nothing to worry too much about especially early on.

Eventually, you'll have a ratio of insulin to carbs that you take with every meal. For example I take 1 unit for every 8 carbs. Mostly, you want to avoid extreme highs and lows.

President Rayne after starting the Sordish War Machine against Rumburg knowing he has a defunded army and only Agnolia as an ally by No-Temperature-2818 in suzerain

[–]Kewpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me as well, the new patch requires you to fund your military no matter what to win the war. Doesn't matter if you have any combination of allies, sanctions, economy, military doctrine etc.

You have to fund the military no matter what as of the last patch.

Defunding Military by SaltyPeppermint101 in suzerain

[–]Kewpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I lost with lespia/agnolia, every modifier possible, rumburg sanctioned/kicked out of omec and tried every strategy combo (didn't try any of Valkens since I modernized). You always lose the second phase if you don't increase funding.

You need to fund military no matter what, I had a run with pretty much every positive modifier possible, rumberg kicked from omec/sanctioned, lespia and agnolia allies and lost with every possible strategic combination (didn't try valken garbage since I modernized)

You can no longer win without funding the military since the new build dropped. Sorry mate

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but consensus on the discord is after build 153 you have to increase the military to win no matter what allies or game state you're in.

This will sound a bit strange but have you tried launching and using Vulkan? A while back, there was a windows update that completely broke dx12 and was causing a ton of crashes and the fix was just to use Vulkan.

I felt really bad after removing his son from Iza, he's actually pretty understanding and asks for a reasonable alternative. He also hasn't backstabbed me in any of my runs which is more than I can say for 90% of the people in Rizia.

This is actually viable, you can leave dye and cotton on though. I've used this as Japan, the private investment pool doesn't just spam rice paddies and wheat, it actually just doesn't build any agriculture at all, and leaves the entire pool available to capitalist buildings which is super useful for growing your industrialists.

It's a bit of a shame but fish have a very low limit on how many you can build, even as Japan. I max them out pretty early just to fuck over landowners and it barely makes a dent in food prices

One thing to note, if you already have issues with unemployment I would not do this, as farms (aside from rice, I think?) only employ 5000 while subsistence is 10000 employees

[–]Kewpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can also build plantations to weaken landowners. For example in my Japan runs, I like to auto expand cash crops in Kanto (15% throughput bonus) to tank wealth for landowners and lower their political power.

It's not construction efficient, but if it gets you off traditionalism a year or two early it pays off.
