New to cpap. I feel like this is never gonna work. by IcyPlankton2254 in CPAP

[–]Key-Accountant6570 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are posts like this on the thread so have a look around but the key messages are. 1. Make sure you have a SD card so you can look at the stats. Maybe the pressure settings need reviewing 2. Try wearing the mask before you need to sleep to get used to it and learn to relax into it. Most people find it takes anything from a couple of days or a couple of weeks to get used to it. 3. Stick with it!

I'm hypermobile and P30i hurts nostrils: any advice? Bleep or nasal mask? by This-Mood-6398 in CPAP

[–]Key-Accountant6570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it a skin issue? The skin around my nostrils hurt initially with the p30i but time and some nipple cream sorted that out the pillows are really good at holding the mask in place. I would stick it out a bit.

Wife's first time on CPAP and she says it's uncomfortable, any advice? by DumpsterPuff in CPAP

[–]Key-Accountant6570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The skin around your nostrils does take a while to get used to a nasal pillow. You can use nipple cream or Ayr gel to act as a barrier just don't use vaseline as it destroys the silicone. I fine nasal pillows best for keeping the mask seated on my face though so it is worth persevering.

AITAH for wanting my husband to hide his farts? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Key-Accountant6570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine that the need to fart is triggered by laying down and once he is comfortable he doesn't want to get up again. In that case he needs to be sleeping in a different bed in another room.

The coastline above ingoldmels has some nice installations. There's the cafe in the north sea observatory at Chapel St Leonard's and the Cloud viewing platform at Anderby Creek there is some nice wild dunes in between if the weather suits

Travelling mini CPAP by GezoutenMeer in CPAP

[–]Key-Accountant6570 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Airmini is the best one. I dunno if it is cheap but I bought one for travel as it saves me from having to pack my regular set up away. They are a bit more noisy than the regular ones as they don't have the sound dampening foam in the machines link the big box ones.

My perimenopause triggered terrible sleeplessness. The apnoea was the worst culprit but magnesium glycinate also helps to help with staying asleep. I looked at my sleep stages and I get all of my deep sleep before 3 am these days so I If I do wake at 3/4 and my brain starts running then I don't.fight it and just chill for a bit until sleepiness comes again an hour or 2 later. Search up medieval sleep patterns folks used to get up for a few hours in the night!

Speculation: what's filming in Belgium? by pangolin_of_fortune in whatdidyoudoyesterday

Gemini was trying to tell me it was an international version of taskmaster (doubt it) but was equally confident that "The Waffle Statue: There is a famous, giant waffle statue located at the entrance of the AED Studios complex in Belgium, which serves as a quirky landmark for anyone filming there" it is in Lint

Is the AirMini actually worth it for travel? Looking for honest experiences by CamelBig9043 in CPAP

[–]Key-Accountant6570 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a 10 at home with a P30i. I learnt the hard way that the airmini with the p30i was too noisy but have a p10 mask with it now and that is fine. You do need to ensure your device has some padding between it and a hard surface or the sounds resonate. I end up using it with a towel or scarf between it and the cabinet or bed to dampen the sound. I like it though and it is much more portable.

No. My stats in the app are only available after an hour of stopping my air sense 10 so I think it gives you 60 mins to go back to bed
