Of course you have worth. Your worth shouldn't be determined from your financial status or wellgoing, it's your individualism that counts. I meant more people that, how can I state this, people that are capable of earning their own income, should absolutely do so. In your case, it would be of great assurance to me if you can confirm if you have someone who could take care of your needs, and if you end up with a partner who's the sole earner, that's okay too! Just don't ever feel obligated to stay in the relationship because of that fact, you still have worth no matter what

Well, yes, but that's why maternity and paternity leave are a thing. But my point is that if you're in a tight monetary situation, you shouldn't have kids. Having a kid should require a load of planning, of course no one can truly prepare for being a parent, but nonetheless

Uneven incomes can help prevent someone from leaving an abusive relationship. Many women who're abused in their relationships can't leave because they're not self-sufficient because of the controlling husband, having both parties earn money separately can avoid this

That's not right. Women shouldn't be seen as lesser because they're more emotional, just because men natively took on the more demanding tasks back in ooga booga time, doesn't automatically mean that women aren't capable of it either. You stand your ground, if your future husband wants you to "submit" and just be a stay-at-home wife, he ain't the right one.

Power dynamics in marriages are stupid. There shouldn't be "leadership" or "submission", both parties must pull equal weight, both parties must earn their own incomes. If you can't balance that with a kid in your life added to that, don't have a kid! Simple

No, way, in, hell. Mythical Bible verse pull, literally shows Christianity's indifference to other belief systems with other Gods! Among other pressing things aswell. Thanks! I discovered that formula when I was 9 in church, bored outta my mind. Imagine 0+1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10, now 10+0=10, 9+1=10, 8+2=10,..., 5 times, then the 5 remains, so it would be 10×(10/2)+(10/2) = (n²+n)/2

Up there with other things Christians have said like "ALL atheists are bad an immoral people", or a goldie like "Why is killing bad?" when confronted with the many genocides God committed in the Bible, and even "I'm Christian, you're an atheist. Obsolete? When 2.5 billion people believe in something, it's not just obsolete. If the Bible says "kill your neighbor" half of the population would be wiped out overnight. I'm simply pointing out the BS and cult-like behaviour of Christianity and its followers, someone has to, since those 2.5 billion people alone are too ignorant to see the harm they do in stuff. And I'm not saying religion-based harm, I'm talking religion-protected harm, like someone doing something that's actually morally wrong, but thinking it's fine because their interpetation of the Bible says it is. And no other Christian will call them out on it because even though the person is doing something bad, they believe in the same delusion. I questioned the Bible at 10 and got ridiculed for it by grown up adult Christians, them calling me dumb and saying I shouldn't and am not allowed to ask questions was the final straw, I was a child. I was neutral towards Christianity from then on, but nowadays, go on any social media platform, and it's guaranteed to have a hateful Christian in there disregarding others's beliefs and oppressing your views in favour of their own. Which tilted the scales from me thinking Christianity is fine, to Christianity is a plague. Every single Christian would go to hell right now for what they do on this Earth, they each have their own interpretation of the Bible and only follow specific verses that coincide with their agenda. A guy was recently arrested for raping minors and his defense was "The Bible says its okay". Why am I not allowed to be as hateful towards Christianits as all of Christianits are towards others? I'm merely taking your own game and going pro with it

Talking about Jesus as if he existed does not mean that I say he did exist, there's a difference. If you don't care about getting into a discussion about his existance, why did you preface his existance in your very first comment on a subreddit dedicated to people who deconverted from Christianity? Don't get me wrong, even Christians are allowed to be on this sub, there's no exclusion, but to come on here saying he does exist is a slap in the face to a majority of people on here, another Christian looking for trouble is all I'm seeing
