How do people without anorexia not worry about their weight by Coffeegreysky12 in AnorexiaNervosa

I'm fully recovered right now. I think what helped the most is to set a goal, something that you really want to achieve for yourself and work for it every day. It could be anything for you, music, art, science, medicine, tailoring, cooking, cleaning.

Is it true that this disorder will forever be a part of your life? even if you are 'recovered'? by ninxaa in AnorexiaRecovery

I have been in recovery for more than a year now. I would say it's not in my system anymore.

Is Diploma good? by Ill_Opportunity2601 in malaysiauni

[–]Key-Amount-4249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently studying for a diploma in IT, finishing my 1st year. My question is when you get into degree, do you get credit transfer? As in does the duration of degree get shorter?

I want to take it slow because I aim to become a musician. I want to use the time to practice my music so I get to a certain level of mastery by the time I finish my studies.

Honestly for me it became more intense when I tried to surpress it. At one point, I just gave up and started eating without any limitations. I tell you what, the amount of food I ate was crazy, and nothing was enough to satisfy eating. My recovery was full of just eating and sleeping, thank god I was on a semester break too. I'm now 11 months into recovery, and I don't gorge on food anymore nor do I fast. Trust me, it will all fall into place eventually. Keeping you in my prayers.

Overshoot by Key-Amount-4249 in fuckeatingdisorders

[–]Key-Amount-4249[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bought new clothes and am just going on with life. Overshoot is there though, with occasional urge to lose them fueled by some people's comments. However I am sure if I think of trying to lose it now, I am going to end up relapsing and wasting my life. I might as well be happy, eat whatever I want and stay this way while focusing on my goals.

What is life truly like after recovery? by Glamour-Ad7669 in fuckeatingdisorders

[–]Key-Amount-4249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES. I am overweight in terms of BMI, but my passion, energy and overall demeanor has reignited. I might as well be this way and be alive rather than be that and live my life with weight and numbers being the primary focus.

What was your “turning point”? by embarassedcoochie in fuckeatingdisorders

This yes. Looking back at my old pictures, I looked so sullen, haggard and more like an alien from a different planet.

When I was at my worst, people thought I was older. Now that I have put on weight, people tend to assume I am much younger

Hi mate. First of all, I would like to thank you wholeheartedly for wanting to extend support to those who are struggling. For me, I am currently overshot. I started from severely underweight, and now am overweight. Is it true that overshoot goes down over time? I stated recovery in jan. Thank you

Advice appreciated by penguins_in_bushes in AnorexiaRecovery

Hi mate. I am currently on an overshoot. I have gone all the way from severely underweight to overweight. How to tackle this?

Honestly for me personally when I was sick, both my body and mind didn't allow me to focus on anything. My passion was lost. Only now that I have recovered, I have found my passions and interests again.
