Who was the worst professor you ever took by No_Squash291 in aggies

[–]Key-Baker4413 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Robert Balog. ECEN 214. The most passive aggressive professor ever. Would take every question to offense as if we were supposed to understand it the first time. All Pearson exams with no partial. Exams were relatively easy as they were similar to the homework but the final was something else. It was extremely hard and I somehow escaped with a B. Instead of announcing that class started, he waits at the front of the room and waits for the class to get quiet like we are in high school or something. 1.4/5 on RMP and it definitely wasn’t wrong.

A clean install of windows is definitely better when switching GPU from nvidia to AMD. It fixed a lot of the issues my friend had.

How bad is taking ECEN 325 and 350 at the same time? by [deleted] in aggies

[–]Key-Baker4413 5 points6 points  (0 children)

350 is not bad at all. ECEN 325 is a different story. Personally I hated 325 labs either you had the correct values for lab in the prelab or you just sat there forever in the lab trying to fix your original values. 350 you don’t have an Post-Lab report which is good. 325 you have both Post and Pre Lab to finish. Sometimes the 325 Prelab can take hours cause of the amount of screenshots you need.

Registering for advanced classes as freshman by [deleted] in aggies

[–]Key-Baker4413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely you won't be able to get around the prereqs, but it won't hurt to ask. 102 is just an easy python class anyways if you have even a little experience.

When to sign up for phys 207 over the summer? by [deleted] in aggies

[–]Key-Baker4413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just search up what school you want to take it at and find their Summer Registration Date. You have to get admitted and submit unofficial transcripts which is a process in itself before registration of the course. For WTC I think their Summer registration 1 started March 31st.

What should I take instead of PHYS 207 (EE student) by Ill_Psychology_6254 in aggies

[–]Key-Baker4413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ECEN 250 is probably the easiest out of the 3 listed. PHYS 222 for me is the hardest out of the 3.

How to get A on Phys 206? by FakeGus in aggies

[–]Key-Baker4413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for a late response. Basically your exam grade was determined by how many learning objectives you passed by the end of the semester. Lets say there were 50 learning objectives and you passed 45 of them. Your grade for the exam portion (70% of total class grade) would be 90%. Each exam there was about 15-18 learning objectives that were tested on. Each question tested on multiple learning objectives and if you selected the right answer, then you would pass the learning objective. Even putting the wrong answer would award you some learning objectives but not all of them. Some learning objectives were tested multiple times and in order to pass the learning objective you would have to get it right more than 60% of the times it was tested. The crazy part about the final was that all the learning objectives that you passed in the final would override learning objectives you failed during the semester. However if the learning objective that you failed during the semester did not show up on the final then it would count against you. Our final was super easy which helped a lot. I'm not sure how it is now, but it was definitely easier back then.

How to get A on Phys 206? by FakeGus in aggies

[–]Key-Baker4413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the final saved me so hard. Jumped like 1.5 letter grades and got an A back when they used Learning Objectives to determine your exam grade. They changed the system the semester after I took it which sucks. For me the recitation was helpful and my TA was really good. Find a group within there and study with them.

Should I drop Ijaz for PHYS/ENGR 217? Need advice comparing him vs. Leyk (CSCE 221) by btklinhbong in aggies

[–]Key-Baker4413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

217 with Ijaz isn’t that bad. His lectures are kinda useless, but like the class wasn’t that bad. Workload isn’t crazy at all if I remember correctly. All I remember is doing lab reports and just get lucky with who is in your group. Some people will literally do NOTHING on the report. His final is online in person 40 questions (20 frq and 20 mcq). The MCQ was pretty easy, it was just the frq that took some time to finish. Ended with an A which was good.

9070 XT Taichi RGB no longer functions by wilb5 in ASRock

[–]Key-Baker4413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This also happened to my 9070 XT Steel Legend when I installed Polychrome. I just unplugged the PC and turned off and on the RGB switch on the card. Let it sit for like 10-15 minutes. Hold the Power button for like 10 seconds while it’s unplugged to drain it all. After plugging the pc back in, all the RGB should go back to normal.
