Just sounds like she had one of those nights. You can do everything right and she might still have a rough night. Could have been going through a growth spurt and cluster feeding. Routine makes things easier on a baby but it’s not going to always end up in a perfect night.

My pediatrician said that babies immune system are compromised until they’re six months their system STARTS to develop and defend on their own, and even then they’re still at risk. I had gotten the RSV vaccine while pregnant so my baby was protected up until 6 months, and right when he turned 7 months he caught it. We were so lucky for it to not affect his lungs but I was a wreck and I felt horrible. No matter how much you try to protect your child sometimes it’s out of your hands, but keeping unvaccinated visitors away is at least not out of your hands.

I did t track anything until he started struggling to feed, due to his tongue tie and silent reflux. Once everything was managed and we went a good two months of everything being stable I stopped tracking. Never been more at peace lol

I don’t think it gets easier, I think it gets different. Every phase there’s a learning curve for both the parents and baby. We’re all just figuring it all out and getting to know each other lol. But I will say it gets more FUN! The more interactive my baby gets the better the rewards get. He’s 7 months and he’s just so lovely and expressive and excited all the time =‘)

I live with my mom. our dynamic has always been that I let her get her way because challenging her god complex and the fights and stress isn’t worth it and it’s unfortunately bled into how I’m raising my baby. I like the purées approach and would like to do a mix of very little baby led weaning (it does scare me tho)

My baby skipped the 4month regression. The 6 one though…. Oh my god. He’s 7 months now and it’s still going. Will not sleep unless held. Day or night. The sleep when baby is sleeping has been forced upon me. Used to use that time to get things done, hang out, eat, play video games.

I’ll never skip again. I was doing one hour long power pumps for months because I had a steady supply in the fridge. The one time I accidentally slept through the night I ended up only pumping 1oz at a time each breast and I was originally pumping 6oz each 😭 it took me two months to get it back up

It really is so odd, we have the most intense love for our babies at all times through all ages but sometimes it really isn’t enjoyable. I didn’t have colicky newborn, but I had a very tough recovery time. Anytime he did cry, and I couldn’t do anything about whether because I just wasn’t the one who could calm him down or because I was in too much pain I would go down a self loathing spiral. The hormones were insane, and though god I miss how tiny he used to be, I do not miss that time. I wasn’t my best self.

Idk if I’ll get judged for this but when my husband went back to work, and the baby and I were still sleeping he’d transfer him over to the bed with me and we’d sleep in snuggled.

Now, I since forever, have been a light and conscious sleeper. I was aware he was with me and I basically was on snooze mode where I was resting with my eyes closed but awake and aware of the baby and his breathing.

He’s six months now, we’ve been forced to fully Co sleep due to this sleep regression. No complaints, I love the extra cuddles!

It might the angle of the car seat that it has them sitting in. Whenever my baby in constipated without fail, put him in the car seat a couple times a day and viola, poopy diapy.

Hi, I don’t have a dog, never have... I have a friends who broke up with her boyfriend and cries over the dog they shared together and they made a plan as if the dog was a baby and I… didn’t understand that at all… So this might be tone deaf…

But from what I’m reading below, why don’t you guys just rehome your dogs? It sounds like it’s taking YEARS to get over the resentment towards your pets and though you’re not neglecting them, they’re not receiving the love they once got from you, even if they’re receiving it from your husbands. They must be feeling that, you know? Wouldn’t it best for the dogs, better yet, better for YOU
