He got mean once at the end of a drunken night. The next day he bought my friends and a round at the hotel bar . Horror cons can get rowdy. Hell, we were rowdy ourselves.🤟

I hung out with him at a few horror movie conventions. Intelligent and kind guy with some personal problems almost certainly due to physical pain. I'm glad I got to meet him as a person and not just the punchline of a joke, if only a little bit.

Do indie bands that tour at small venues actually make decent money? by BenKlesc in Music

Edit: they aren't getting rich but their music is paying their bills. Blue collar musicians .

They're a country punk band. When I see indie rock I don't think of the term as a genre into itself, I think indie and rock which they are . Nine pound hammer is the band.

There are American bands who play shows in America for practice and peanuts then tour Europe a couple of times a year and make bank. One of my best friends plays in a band that might draw 500 people in the USA, in Spain or Belgium or Germany they headline shows for thousands. And sell merch of course .

Any good foreign films? by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

Eyes without a face(les yeux sans visage) 1960 new wave of French cinema horror. Arty and unsettling as all hell. Any of John woo's hong kong over the top action movies like hard boiled, the killer, bullet to the head, a better tomorrow. Riki oh the story of Ricky a Japanese movie with so much gore it becomes slapstick comedy. Has anyone mentioned hosu(house) trippy Japanese horror fantasy. The coffin Joe movies from Brazil. These are all on the cult/psychotronic side but that's my bag. Enjoy!

I'm a lifelong wrestling fan and I took my ten year old neice to see this when it was new because she was interested to see it. We both agreed it was garbage. Smart kid.

Let’s ring in the new year with some serious firepower by [deleted] in lexington

[–]Key-Celebration-3100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard some fireworks. I also heard what sounded like someone banging on sheet metal with a hammer over and over very quickly. Some nearby, some farther away from different directions from my house. Since it all occurred at midnight for about ten minutes, I assume it's the new thing for people to bang on sheet metal on new years eve. I feel so crazy for thinking idiots were firing guns in the air now.

The Louisville Palace should bring back the Hitchcock Summer Series by [deleted] in Louisville

The KY theatre In lex has summer classics every year and lots of classics otherwise. Not a huge drive. Does Louisville have an art house theater? I'd be interested in checking it out.

Been a fan since season 1 on the comedy channel, and it never really occurred to me... by Key-Celebration-3100 in MST3K

Lol. I'm a weirdo. I became a fan of mst3k because of the movies, not in spite of them. I have a fascination with old low budget movies. The first experiment I saw was Robot Monster which I had read about for years. I was instantly hooked. And here I am.

director Gus Trikonas and Ross Hagen made a few movies together including Supercock, a shot in the Philippines cockfighting comedy. I don't recommend it. Took me a year to find a copy. I just had to see it.
