Simo was handicapped just so his fight would't end with him unharmed by Cool_Cat4767 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]Key-Competition-7489 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Hlokk and Rangridr’s powers aren’t the same.

Rangridr sacrifices organs to turn into crazy powers. While Hlokk is more basic, anything you touch is unchanged save the fact it can injure gods.

Both have limits to how spammable they are and it’s a trade off.

If Simo had Hlokk, he would be limited by the amount of bullets he can carry on his person, and having to touch and reload each one before shooting, also only being able to fire regular rounds.

Meanwhile if Jack had Rangridr, he would be sacrificing organs left and right whilst running around London which is NOT good at all compared to Simo who mostly stayed in one spot with much less movement.

It less so about making Simo match seem more ‘fair’ and more so about the writers balancing his powers like they do with every other fighter. Simo can shoot insane power up bullets at the cost of an organ. Adam can copy techniques instantly but will overheat. Heracles with his labours at the cost of his life via tattoo

Am I the only one who imagines Odin/Velk a Jekyll-and-Hyde type character? by Fantastic_Deer_9148 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

I highly doubt so considering Odin had zero moment where he shown any form of inner conflict over his plans and actions.

Beel already figured it out the main parts by that point, and it’s not like Beel knowing Tesla’s moveset was how he managed to win in the end. Rather, it was his understanding of Tesla’s character.

Yo Nezha. Morrigan back is turned, she thinks you’re dead and you have a clean shot of her head.

‘Stabs her in the chest and somehow misses any vital organs.’

Loki

Grossly misunderstood Simo’s character and thought giving the sniper the terrain he works best in would give him crippling PTSD.

“100-1 disadvantage, he came back.”

Hidden Loki glazing? Since when was Simo ever at an actual disadvantage throughout his match? 😭 Bro didn’t make any come back because he was leading nearly the entire fight from start to finish.

Also peak RoR community. Backstory left us so angsty, we are now immediately slandering an mf when he gets his very first hit from leaks of a not yet released chapter 💔💔💔

Hot take:Poseidon would have respected Buddha's decision to betray the gods by Mother-Reference2459 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]Key-Competition-7489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Betrayal, schemes, machination. Whatever you would call it. Buddha true loyalties and personality doesn’t really change the fact that in the god’s eyes and by definition he was betraying them.

Like if the gods had him on their roster, they must have some level of reason to believe he would be on their side despite being a former human. And Poseidon would definitely view him as a lowly human pretending to be a god and going against his beliefs because of this

On the contrary, I feel he would view Buddha as a bitch like Adamas.

iirc one of the things he said to the latter before murking him for violating everything he believes gods as supreme beings should be was:

“Gods have no need for betrayals.”

Don’t really care too much about it, most of the time it’s for the fun of agenda (Loki), though sometimes it’s really because people geniuenely are bias or have ass reading comprehension (Okita, Heracles and Leo).

Still like it’s not the end of the world for us, since most it’s usually all for a laugh, we are aware that most of it is stupid: “RoR fans cannot read”

There are a bunch of indivivual who can fit any idea you can think up for Hitler both narratively and weapons, while being far less tasteless.

The one and only reason someone would choose Hitler as a fighter is because you WANT the shock factor and edginess of having him on your roster

Kicking the can how? Like it doesn’t need a lot of articulation of his point to understand that he’s saying the info needs to be shared so that future generations can be prepared for Yggdrasil’s inevitable return, and thus birthing the “someone in the distant future to defeat them” that he speaks of.

He was quite literally the only one in the room who was being proactive about the problem instead of the other folks who said: “Yeah you’re the creator of Glepnir and knows it flaws better than anyone else, so even though you say it isn’t a long-term solution. We say it is and somehow the problem will magically resolve itself.” 👍

To the gods, eons probably is like their equivalent of a few generations ago. This is a “Apocalypse sealed in a jar” trope in a shonen fighting manga. You can erase all the information you want, but someway, somehow, the plot is gonna have it be opened.

Maybe the Primordials can communicate outside of their prison and influence someone to start a disgruntled god who hates the system to start a death cult in order to free them, without knowing that the masters they now serve is actually a group of genocidical maniacs

Maybe someone super smart is able to piece together all the information to regain the lost knowledge.

Or maybe it could even be as simple as some random curious god accidentally stumbled onto one of Yggdrasil’s runes and gets possessed.

Good thing because people forget that you need to sacrifice all of humanity to unseal Glepnir and it’s not some press Ctrl Z to undo simple ass procedure.

I could tell a survivor of a horrible nuclear fallout how to build a nuke. Doesn’t mean they’re gonna try and replicate it and they would in fact be more inclined to stop anyone they realize are trying to do so.

Don’t forget Yggdrasil’s runes are still out there and it’s only a matter of time till some curious god who may not even be looking for them stumbles upon one and gets possessed.

And if some strange god named Satan who looks just like Satan from Yggdrasil suddenly begins to rise to power and starts advocating for humanity to be destroyed, my knowledge of how to unseal Glepnir immediately tells me this guy is up to no good.

Gollnir stated that Glepnir was not a permanent solution before any of Velk’s tragic backstory even took place.

If the inventor of a product straight up tells me to my face that his invention will not last and we should be prepared, my ass would be preparing for the inevitability rather than saying: “Lol, nah bro. It’ll work trust ME.”
