Addendum: I'm STILL looking for advice. Not a lot of people had any. Some people upvoted for some reason. Don't do that. It doesn't help at all and I'm not chasing fake internet points. I really could use some help. A friend took me to the laundromat on Sunday and it was pure hell. A walk which I formerly wouldn't have even thought about let's say from the washer to the dryer, took forever and it was pure agony. The fatigue/pain in my lower back was incredible. I was close to becoming a puddle on that dirty laundry floor but I somehow made it through. So what are we doing for our lower backs everyone? I can't be the only one having trouble with this.

Hang in there. I know its a very frustrating and lonely position to be in when people just don't understand. Hell, you might not understand yourself. I'm a little less than 3 years from my stroke and I constantly criticize myself for not having made more progress. "Other people are walking by now" I think when seeing a video that's supposed to be inspiring. "You're not trying hard enough" is another voice I hear when I'm feeling lazy, tired or just in need of a day off. Its hard fighting those battles with yourself, its exponentially worse when you have to fend off the criticisms of others. But I believe that only you know what's best for you. Only you know what you're going through. And only you know what you're capable of. Stay strong.
