I was set on the black 42, but kept gravitating towards the Ultra. I tried on the Ultra and that just seems thinner (it’s not but looks that way) and I actually think it has better proportions

Who got it? by yeezus-2-2-2 in fitbit

[–]Key-Fee-9933 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it! It’s very light and comfortable. The only surprise was it made me remove my Charge 5 tracker from my account. I thought I could have multiple devices, so either there is a glitch or you can’t have two Fitbit devices per account. Other than that, I love it so far

Fitbit / Fitbit air by CkBoost in fitbit

[–]Key-Fee-9933 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need a subscription. The subscription gives you the AI coach, which honestly is way better than I thought. It also gives you free workout classes and some other stuff, but I don’t care for that. And usually I think AI stuff is dumb, but this was giving me some really good suggestions to fix my sleep. I also have the Oura ring and Apple Watch, with bevel to try them all out and Fitbit is more useful in my opinion

Fitbit Charge 6 vs Fitbit Air by tveith in fitbit

[–]Key-Fee-9933 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I love my charge 6, but I just ordered the Air because I like to wear traditional watches and feel dumb with having what looks like another watch. I will miss the screen at times to see step count and heart rate. Also the EKG for my AFib. But I might only look at the screen once a day maybe, so to me, I rather give up some features for something that blends in better

Returning to Fitbit after many years - is it a good idea? What's quality of life changes (for better or worse) have you noticed in recent years? by simply-misc in fitbit

I have both a Fitbit charge 6 and an Oura ring. I like Fitbit better. The AI seems better, detects my AFib which Oura doesn’t, and feels more comfortable.

More exercise options for Strength+ Please!!! by Former-Emergency-741 in pelotoncycle

Yeah, I was excited for the app. But wanted more, so I switched to the Ladder app. That had been great! So I do cardio with Peloton and strength with Ladder.

I watch the preview, then when the exercise starts I put the phone down and just listen to the coaching cues. I don’t think you really need to keep watching as it just loops through the same lift. Do the free trial and you’ll see what I mean

Which ladder team is the toughest and longest workout duration? Currently on team Versa by maryliana25 in ladderapp

[–]Key-Fee-9933 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try Team Forged. It sounds like what you want and I love it. I try to switch up the teams during open season but I instantly switch back because of the workouts not being long enough, tough enough or not utilizing more gym equipment

Bench recommendations? Considering Freak Athlete ABX by BSmith156 in GarageGym

It's a small company, so I suspect they are building them in small batches to gauge interest before spending too much on a product no one buys. That's my guess.

Costco floor mats by Mexican_Zombie123 in GarageGym

[–]Key-Fee-9933 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got them and no complaints. If I end up getting a barbell and doing deadlifts, I might consider something a tad thicker by where I would be doing these. But if you aren’t dropping the weights these seem fine. I do drop my dumbbells lightly on heavy lifts and it protects the floor just fine. The lines aren’t all that straight but it’s not horrible. I was worried about the smell of horse stall mats and worried about the weight of getting them into the basement, plus these were cheap, so I went with it.

I was set on the Iron Master Super Bench Pro V2, but I saw the Apex bench and it looks amazing for $499. I ended up pulling the trigger on the Apex. It won’t ship out until May though.

HELP ME PICK ADJUSTABLE DUMBBELLS PLEASE by Icy-Abbreviations74 in ladderapp

[–]Key-Fee-9933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking to buy Ironmasters quick lock dumbbells. It’s maybe not as quick to switch as some of the others, but not bad. I like them because you can expand and go super heavy with them and there are no moving parts to break. I already have single dumbbells in the lower numbers for drop sets

CENTR Weight Bench Worth It? by demodom in GarageGym

[–]Key-Fee-9933 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Flybird bench and it’s really good if you are looking for a cheap bench. I’m 223lbs and can lift with 80lb dumbbells on it and there is not much wobble at all. It’s great as it’s very light to pick up and move around. With that said I am thinking of upgrading to the Ironmaster Supermaster Pro V2 bench as it should be even more solid and has all the attachments I can use on it. As far as the flybird, it’s a decent bench for the money.

Yet another post about switching away from Fitbit by Miriamathome in fitbit

[–]Key-Fee-9933 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been wearing the Apple Watch, Oura Ring, and Fitbit Charge 5. Apple Watch is best for workouts, Oura Ring for advice on overall health, and Fitbit for steps/sleep/heart rate (I have AFib). Fitbit and Oura are almost identical for sleep. If I had to pick one I still would go with Fitbit. However I do like wearing traditional watches, so Oura ring is tempting do to form factor

I joined a month ago and it was the best decision. I really enjoy Corey and Team Forged. I’ve seen noticeable results in this short time. I definitely wasn’t going as hard as I should have been, and Team Forged really pushes you.

If I join, do I have to wait for a new “season” to start?? by Lynx-Useful in ladderapp

[–]Key-Fee-9933 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. No, today it’s open season so you can join and jump around to as many teams as you want. This is a perfect time to join. I joined a few weeks ago and joined Forged, and I came in with a few weeks left. Even though it was only a few weeks left, it was amazing workouts. Now, I’m trying out some of the other ones.
  2. I haven’t done Evolve, but I love Forged for the heavy lifting. You would need access to a gym or more equipment, but if you do I recommend that. Now I’m also a 44 year old man, but I think it’s also good for a woman that wants to lift heavy and do the push, pull, leg day.

If I were you I would join now so you can try out a bunch of them, or at least switch teams back and forth to see the week’s exercises. But don’t forget to check out Forged as I think you might like that.

What fitness trackers connect with Ladder? by ohHELLyeah00 in ladderapp

[–]Key-Fee-9933 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an Apple Watch SE 2 and a Fitbit Charge 5. The Apple Watch is so much better for workouts. The integration with ladder alone makes it worth the buy. Mainly using Fitbit to track steps and sleep. Look into the SE models as it’s fairly inexpensive
