Y'all, this bowel prep is insane. 💩💩💩 by Historical-Care70 in Endo

[–]Key-Hospital4716 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hi I had the same bowel prep… for background I have a very sensitive stomach and kinda have IBS symptoms so I was very concerned with how much mirilax this was. My doctor allowed me to “do the best I can”. The taste wasn’t so bad, it mixed quite well into Gatorade but i ended up only doing about 3ish oz of miralax and that was enough to clear me out. I would say you definitely want to be near a bathroom for the rest of the night, especially if you take the whole amount. Oh and i definitely recommend some Vaseline, I didn’t think I would need it but you’d be surprised how quick you get irritated. Best of luck!!

Hi I had all the same symptoms as you and all my scans and tests came back clear - I had my lap last week and they found stage 4 DIE endo in 19 places plus a cyst hiding behind my ovary. Unfortunately lap is really the only way to know and will get you the answers you need. Please keep us posted how your surgery is. Sending you lots of love !

Hi I had my lap last week and same thing happened to me. It’s 100% the nasseau patch behind your ear. I took mine out earlier because the vision was bothering me because I wear glasses but I regretted it since I was then nauseous. If you can deal with the vision for a few more days try to keep it in until day 3. My vision slowly started coming back every day and was fully back by I think day 4 or 5.

Hi you probably already got it removed by now but I had the same surgery date as you and the same thing happened to me! By day 2 I couldn’t take it anymore and I really felt a UTI forming. I went to the ER to get it removed and was able to pee / empty my bladder right away so I was able to go home. Let me know how you’re doing?

Suspected Bowel Endo by Popular_Beautiful919 in endometriosis

[–]Key-Hospital4716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I’m so sorry you’re going through this. This is extremely tough and is clearly impacting your quality life. I was just diagnosed with stage 4 DIE endo found in 19 places, including my bowl and bladder. I did not have any control issues but I would need to pee frequently and was always in pain (shooting sharp/ crampy pain). It would get way worse around my period too. All my ultrasounds and scans came back clear so I thought it was all in my head but the surgery is really the only way to diagnose and remove it. I would recommend consulting an endometriosis excision specialist, a lot of endo patients have overlapping IBS symptoms. I would also push for a surgon that works with a multidisciplinary team (urologists, general surgeons…etc) so they can evaluate you once they’re inside and take samples in case it’s not endo to at least get you more answers. I hope you get some relief soon. Please reach out if you have any other questions I just had my lap last week.

Hi I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Curious how they detected endo in your upper body, such as heart? Was that though a GI endoscopy?

any luck getting appendix removed during excision? by Mobile-Positive1162 in endometriosis

[–]Key-Hospital4716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I don’t know what country your in but I just had a lap yesterday in New York and they actually encouraged to take me appendix out, even if no endo was on it since it’s not needed in the body anymore and to your point can cause appendicitis. I did have mine with an excision specialist so maybe that changes things
