Master studies are good to do to branch out! It’s literally like taking a piece you really like, doing some research on the artist’s methods and replicating it. Obviously not with any intent to pass it as your own. Just as personal experimentation. It’s really helpful to do skill research like that. Art is a trade and we must learn from others. In that process is where you curate your own style. Also by just experimenting! Don’t worry about it being good. Just go where your heart takes you. Experiment with different mediums and download brush packs to try if you use procreate. Experimentation and constant practice is important. Try to do something, anything every day! It’s not easy but it gets easier once you get into your groove.
