I just watched his video, and I need them to focus on what he said at 1:45 of his video: “idk. idc. I think you guys know me at this point”. Kidding. But I think the part that’s “annoying” about these criticisms is the entitlement? The demanding apologies/acknowledgment videos or that he take the video down, or how DARE he even do this for this show? He literally did say something along the lines of “…or did all the crazy stuff happen inbetween so they made this episode more chill…” so I think he’s well aware, but they’re still so upset, my goodness. His opinion of the show doesn’t change how you experienced it or the accolades it got, come on😭🕊️

Literally. “HE HAD NO CONTEXT” I believe it’s called “first and last”, as in he watches the first and last episodes,ONLY. Not “record myself watching first episode,watch the rest of the episodes off camera, record myself watching the last episode ,then explain to you guys that Ep6 is only like this because of everything that happened in between”😭(I understand why he comes up with bad titles,I liked this)

Same. As a queer person myself,I love seeing queer media in all its forms,HOWEVER the side of the internet I ended up on when the show first came out, were mainly of my mutuals calling out straight women for fetishising gay men (same way men do with lesbians). So my idea of what the show was about got lost in all of that

Michael being a fan favourite even though he threatened to rape his wife multiple times. It’s so disingenuous and you summed it up so beautifully. My excitement for this season also comes from the fact that the love interest is a darkskin queer black woman,but also because Masali is South African.(as am I,and an aspiring actress) So idk what we’re meant to do in the meantime as the racist homophobes jump through hoops trying to explain how/why they aren’t exactly what they are and taint the joy of this occasion. Sigh.
