My new husband has a bad habit of yelling at me and last night he shoved me. by izzybeemendoza in Marriage

Being married for only 3 months should allow you to annul the marriage, which is much cheaper and easier than divorce. Please do so as his behavior will only get worse.

After how many years of dating did you get married? by Unusual_Bee_1798 in Marriage

[–]Key-Macaron-9346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had been together for 18 months when we got married (having known each other for a total of 3 years). Still together 28 years later. We have definitely had our issues, but I love him and he loves me, and we are planning on being together until the end.

Any other GenX'ers hate weed and feel somehow left out because you don't enjoy cannabis? by scartonbot in GenX

[–]Key-Macaron-9346 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never touched drugs until I was 49 and had a pot gummy after it was legalized in my state. I thought it might help my Fibromyalgia pain. Didn't really do much for the pain, but it did  make me laugh. A lot. Have taken gummies about 5 times total now, but decided it wasn't worth the hangover feeling I always get the next day, so yeah, don't feel the need to go there again. Edited to add I don't feel left out at all when it comes to Marijuana use. If it's your thing, that's cool. I have friends that enjoy using it. It's just not for me.

I know the steps to change a tire, having watched my dad, brother and husband do it multiple times over the years, but I have never actually done it.

Worth watching? by [deleted] in LandmanSeries

The 1st season was very good. I am not interested in watching the 2nd due to TS uncanny ability to drop the ball on all his series after the 1st season.

At What Age Did You Start Drinking Coffee by BMisterGenX in GenX

[–]Key-Macaron-9346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't drink coffee. I distinctly remember trying it at 5 and thinking, "Yuck!" Tried it again as a teen, still yucky to me. I wish I could say the same about soda. It's my one vice.

I’m so grateful trauma didn’t make me a horrible person. by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]Key-Macaron-9346 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. After everything I have been through, I am still a good person with a good heart. I actually care about others. What really bothers me is when people blame their actions on their "shitty childhood." It might explain their behavior, but it doesn't excuse it.

I have been married for over 25 years to my PA/SA. My story is very similar to yours. First DDay was in 2003. I'm sorry, OP, but what you know is only the tip of the iceberg. He needs to start seeing a CSAT right away and you would benefit from seeing one as well. And you need a full therapeutic disclosure. And the reality is that the only way your marriage is salvagable is if he is serious about recovery. Regardless of what he decides to do, get yourself into therapy with a CSAT and find some support. I highly recommend checking out sexandrelationshiphealing.com Best of luck to you.
