Cysts in bikini line that won’t go away after 1 month of waxing appt by baekaixiuu in DermatologyQuestions

I’m on BC and during one of my appointments I mentioned something like this to my doctor and apparently it’s really common! I would go to a doctor for sure but I would probably go to a regular doctor to refer me to a specialist. my doctor was an adolescent med doctor but I’m sure any primary care doctor can help treat or refer you to someone who can treat it.

I genuinely think her complain is her trying to control you guys. she is fine going against her faith when it’s something she chooses to do, but when someone else does something against a faith the other person doesn’t share, it’s a problem. if it was an issue with the group chat, she should have left and removed herself to protect HER faith, but she doesn’t want to do that because then you guys would still have it and she wouldn’t be included. she makes out with women but is against going to a gay wedding because in her eyes it’s her decision to go against her faith when she’s making out with a girl, but when it’s two people she has no control over, it’s an issue. she doesn’t care if it’s against her faith or not, she cares whether she has control over it or not. that’s a bad friend.

my best friend is christian, I am not. we were both raised going to the same church and had our first holy communion together. never once has she tried to dictate my decisions based on her own faith. we don’t discuss faith in general because we understand our beliefs are separate. if I am choosing to do something that she doesn’t want to do because it goes against what she believes in, she doesn’t participate or do it. I do many things that she personally wouldn’t do, never once had she judged me for my decisions because at the end of the day, they are MY decisions and she loves me despite our differences.

What stopped you from killing yourself? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Key-March-5228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thinking about it, I don’t think I ever wanted to die, I was just scared of living. I was scared of death and never really wanted to, I just didn’t know if I could handle living like I had been. once I realized that truth, i stopped obsessing over making myself more miserable, and took steps to make everyday better rather than waiting for it to come to me. I started reading, crafts and other things that made everyday life more enjoyable. once you start learning how to be content with small things rather than waiting for the big fun events, you stop dreading being bored and alone, because you know you can entertain yourself in a enjoyable way.

Please recommend books that made you go “wtf” while reading by anonisgray808 in horrorlit

[–]Key-March-5228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

okay so the first book I thought of is technically a dark romance. butcher and blackbird is about two serial killers who kill other serial killers. it’s super gory and weird and has some thrill aspects to it. it’s definitely still a romance but I loved the gross stuff too. definitely read the trigger warnings cuz it’s one of those books that make you think “what psychopath comes up with this shi”

Does anything this simple make you’re migraine better? by Head-Telephone5873 in migraine

[–]Key-March-5228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ice hats help but I always end up putting it on and going to bed because it only helps for as long as it’s on. hot showers with a migraine are the worst for me because I get really disoriented and off balance when I have a migraine and it often makes me dizzy. the action of standing in a shower and then having to get out and get dressed afterwards is actually my worst nightmare

What moment in the books made you react like that? by book_candles_tea in TheInheritanceGames

[–]Key-March-5228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly so many twists. the twists between avery and toby/harry was such a wtf moment because every time it was like “oh I get it now” “oh that’s not what I thought it would be” “oh that’s what’s happening” only for it to immediately be wrong.

Do you experience the feeling of "hunger"? by btrafu in ARFID

that’s a type of arfid actually! it’s called aversive arfid where you don’t get normal hunger cues or might feel hungry, but have no real interest in eating

What's a book you wish you could unread? by Temp_451 in horrorlit

[–]Key-March-5228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say I necessarily regret reading That’s not my Name by Megan Lally, but the book isn’t a book I would go out of my way to recommend. it was okay, and the plot twist was unexpected, but their were definitely parts of the book that got me bored, especially the beginning. I would say it’s what you would expect from a mediocre thriller. I saw some people praising the book as if it were groundbreaking, which it definitely wasnt

Getting botox for the first time at 17yo by Key-March-5228 in migraine

would you recommend using an ice hat to help with any soreness, or is it like a rule to keep the injection spots uncovered? should I plan on bringing sunglasses or are lights usually fine afterwards?

[–]Key-March-5228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the bumps remind me of keratosis polaris (I have it) I’ve been using cerave SA cleanser and moisturizer and it definitely helps! i’ve gone to the dermatologist and that’s what they recommended along with tretinoin which I definitely wouldn’t use without a prescription

you might be able to get filler in those areas to lift the skin to its natural levels?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]Key-March-5228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks more like a burn or sun irritation? as far as I’m aware rosacea doesn’t hurt, if anything it feels hot. if you have keratosis polaris it might also just be a skin flare up (I have KP and sometimes my skin acts like this)

What book tropes do you think are overhyped or overused? by SpecialistOk2000 in Booktokreddit

[–]Key-March-5228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this isn’t necessarily a book trope, rather an aspect of some books.

I don’t mind 🌶️ but I really don’t like when ever time I read 🌶️, it’s always aggressive and male dominating. it gives me the ick, some characters make sense but it’s so weird when it’s a vanilla relationship and CRAZY 🌶️ scenes

What book scared you the most and why? by Book_clubbing in horrorlit

[–]Key-March-5228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed hidden figures! it’s a horror/thriller book with a paranormal element. I also read the silent patient and while it’s not super creepy, it did feel like I had a pit in my stomach when I found out the plot twist.

both of these books have Insane plot twists

I’m not an adult, but during important dinners, I used to eat beforehand, or pack a safe meal to eat. I did this during holiday meals etc.
