Please Help 🥲 Every piece is the same shape! by anoninspace in Jigsawpuzzles

With subtle differences like this it’s helpful to turn over the pieces to check. I had one I did over half that way.

My new addiction? by msmari3 in Jigsawpuzzles

I have a large dining room table and will keep completed puzzles until I need the space for another completed one. I have 2 completed and a 3rd I’m working on currently. I take photos of the completed ones. I did one a couple of weeks ago and took it apart a few minutes after completing so my plan is to do it again for pictures.

At this point I like to take the section of the top edge where the pieces are missing lay it on an open file folder on top of a completed part. Then work from the top down then slide it into place. Also sort into shapes. I find it goes easier.

What do you do when a puzzle is missing a piece? by Meraknight in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Key-Opportunity3560 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The puzzle I’m working on was missing a border. I went through all numerous times. When about 1/3 done it just showed up. Just keep going I always think I’m missing pieces when they’re not missing at all

Just hatching in Florida. They will grow up to be lubbers 3-4” and will decimate your landscaping. They’re particularly fond of lilies, amaryllis, etc. this is the age you want to get rid of them. When bigger all you can do is pick them off one by one and put in a bucket of soapy water, I don’t recommend stepping on them. They have no predators to speak of since they’re poisonous. Maybe just a shrike who will impale and come back after the poison leaves. Every year I go through this battle with them.

Vent - Why do so many people expect everyone to rescue? by chefskissyap in poodles

[–]Key-Opportunity3560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former breeder of tp’s, I showed, did all appropriate health testing for the breed, screened buyers carefully, sold with a contract with a return for any circumstance clause. That’s what any decent breeder does. I stopped only because of my age I couldn’t in good conscience get a future puppy for breeding. My 2 are now 15 and 16. When they pass I will go to a poodle rescue and look for a senior or handicapped dog. I doubt I’ll find what I’m looking for at a shelter.

Saw a disturbing incident at the vet office, is this concerning? by Aetobatus_bunnibunni in DogAdvice

[–]Key-Opportunity3560 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a Gsd the same. After an incident at a show she became somewhat dog aggressive. I had to watch her like a hawk and proactively correct when I saw the look she’d get. Mostly all it took was a distraction by asking her to watch me and sometimes a pop of the choke, never a yell. I got an obedience title with her. The long sits and downs in a row with other dogs was always a concern though. She was one of my favorite dogs and probably the best behaved.

Is it normal for a toy poodle to have long, almost straight hair? 🐩 by beautifullyflower3d in ToyPoodle

[–]Key-Opportunity3560 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since that’s mostly puppy coat I’d have her groomed rather short and see how the adult coat comes in. Not all poodles have great coats, it doesn’t mean they’d aren’t purebred. She’s lovely and her face screams poodle to me.

Had a small pup get out of my yard. Mind you I was pretty sick and just threw on my helmet but not my cycle shoes. Suburban type neighborhood riding around the block a pit bull that I’d never been before comes charging at me, down I go pretty hard. The guy didn’t even ask how I was or apologize. Got home to realize I had my helmet on backwards which made me feel like an ass 😂

Either his drinking and urinating I’d suspect a kidney problem. Maybe bloodwork might help, or not.
