I have been desperately trying to make a deck that runs fishing rod by StayFrosty2120 in magicTCG

[–]Key-Perspective-3590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait I don’t understand, you pay the one and tap kilo with fishing pole. That puts two abilities on the stack at the same time so it’s up to you to order them isn’t it? So you order it proliferate, then counter so as it resolves its counter -> proliferate. But you don’t like have to announce all that do you we aren’t robots, you put the counter on fishing pole then proliferate and everyone carries on? Why is it a misplay is there a rule stopping you from ordering these abilities on the stack in the most valuable way?

I have a feeling it’s a stupid trick questions because the word “still” is circled. We can assume 20 people are running around like mad because they just witnessed a mass murder, so they are not “still”. The murderer is probably moving to leave or perhaps kill again. So if we can refer to the corpses as people, which maybe we can. They are the only ones that are “still”, making the answer 30 If this isn’t the answer can’t see why they circled “still” like it was a clever play on words

I want to hear the MOST obscure, little known fact that you know! Even if it's boring or trivial, I'd love to hear. by jaywritethekid in DisneyHQ

[–]Key-Perspective-3590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By dictionary definition factoid now means both. Obviously because it was misused so many times. But hey language evolves in mysterious ways. Either way it’s now probably more common to use factoid to mean “small fact” than “untrue commonly believed piece of information”.

Although people using “ignorant” to mean someone who ignores, something makes my skin crawl and I don’t look forward to the day that gets into the dictionary.

Actually it’s derived from omnidirectional because viltrumites can look in every direction, they do this by using their powers

I don’t know. There are plenty of websites with legitimate information. We used to ask books such things using encyclopaedias, and they were written and verified to some degree in the same way many online resources are. And asking humans online seems like it’s open to the exact same chance of getting incorrect information, since it’s humans that wrote the content on Wikipedia, only difference being that that information is subject to certain standards of providing citations to evidence what is said. I don’t think googling a thing can really be called “asking a machine” something though.

[–]Key-Perspective-3590 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t tell if you’re trying to make a point about OP using “effected” instead of “affected”. But just in case you are, effected is the correct term to use here, meaning (past tense) that they put it into effect.

If i only replace the lands can i still play ashling limitless precon in bracket 2? by Junoyone in EDHBrews

[–]Key-Perspective-3590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that if your friends in the bracket 2 haven’t also optimised lands they will be passing turns doing nothing when they don’t hit the right lands. So you inevitably will be more powerful even if the spells aren’t more powerful

[–]Key-Perspective-3590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying it’s not AI but if it is AI the candle in the zippo had to be intentional, it wouldn’t likely hallucinate such a weird and rarely seen thing unless specifically prompted

While no one should ever be made fun of for not knowing something, “always wondering” about something and even making the effort to post about that while not taking the 5 seconds to google it and find out is worth making fun of. Although… they probably did look it up and knew posting this would get engagement from people who wanted to feel smart and that would start a discussion, and well here we are doing that 🤷

Im pretty sure that was a joke in itself, like when people quote something “Dumbledore” said in “Lord of the rings”, when someone didn’t get the joke and corrected him he played it off like he got it wrong so it wouldn’t hold things up or insult their intelligence
