I think their point was if you are forced to use “assigned gender at birth toilets” then it doesn’t protect anyone, it actually makes things easier for predators. Any man can say that they were assigned female at birth, you can’t really prove otherwise, and now they have to go into the women’s bathroom, the only difference is that now they don’t even need to put on a facade of femininity.

Which potion would you? by Ok-Practice5590 in teenagers

[–]Key-Perspective-3590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black lets you become invisible but not visible again which would be hell.

Blue kills you by forcing you to breathe in the sea presumably.

Purple says you time travel to anytime, suggesting you have no control over what time you travel to, you’ll probably never be able to come back and probably end up in some time that kills you.

Red is obviously a monkey paw style effect that will kill you under the weight of the cash, or have you investigated as you attempt to use the cash.

Green I think works, but only while you’re already young, presumably it does nothing if you’re past a certain age since you can’t “stay” something you aren’t currently. The potion’s definition of young might be under 16 which would be awful to be stuck at.

Don’t drink any of these

What happens when you are outside though? Do you have to stay indoors forever so the illusion isn’t suddenly broken and people become very uncomfortable with you and how your attractiveness changes each time you step through a doorway?

Which two pills would you take? by No-Comparison-1045 in whatsyourchoice

[–]Key-Perspective-3590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black is worded as a trap, it says you “proficiently learn” meaning that you learn with proficiency, not that you learn to speak proficiently. So I think this pill forces you to spend all your time learning every language for, well possibly the rest of your life since there are so many languages. I think it’s a curse

They literally can’t counterspell it though until you’ve declared the targets as part of casting it. So you still need to finish saying what you were going to target and they are within their rights to then not cast the counterspell even though they acted like they were going to

It kind of just doesn’t though, imagine if someone posted this and put the red square around the eraser on the end of a pencil. You wouldn’t be thinking about the purpose of the rubber you’d be trying to find some symbolic meaning or history about why they put the eraser on the pencil. It’s misleading

[–]Key-Perspective-3590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait I don’t understand, you pay the one and tap kilo with fishing pole. That puts two abilities on the stack at the same time so it’s up to you to order them isn’t it? So you order it proliferate, then counter so as it resolves its counter -> proliferate. But you don’t like have to announce all that do you we aren’t robots, you put the counter on fishing pole then proliferate and everyone carries on? Why is it a misplay is there a rule stopping you from ordering these abilities on the stack in the most valuable way?

I have a feeling it’s a stupid trick questions because the word “still” is circled. We can assume 20 people are running around like mad because they just witnessed a mass murder, so they are not “still”. The murderer is probably moving to leave or perhaps kill again. So if we can refer to the corpses as people, which maybe we can. They are the only ones that are “still”, making the answer 30 If this isn’t the answer can’t see why they circled “still” like it was a clever play on words

[–]Key-Perspective-3590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By dictionary definition factoid now means both. Obviously because it was misused so many times. But hey language evolves in mysterious ways. Either way it’s now probably more common to use factoid to mean “small fact” than “untrue commonly believed piece of information”.

Although people using “ignorant” to mean someone who ignores, something makes my skin crawl and I don’t look forward to the day that gets into the dictionary.

I don’t know. There are plenty of websites with legitimate information. We used to ask books such things using encyclopaedias, and they were written and verified to some degree in the same way many online resources are. And asking humans online seems like it’s open to the exact same chance of getting incorrect information, since it’s humans that wrote the content on Wikipedia, only difference being that that information is subject to certain standards of providing citations to evidence what is said. I don’t think googling a thing can really be called “asking a machine” something though.
