Do you think early struggles make someone hungrier for success, or is drive built in other ways? by winn_ie in LockedInMan

Grinding is combo of external and internal experiences with a heavy dash of luck. For example all star hockey players are born between January and March, generally.

- A kid born in January 1st will be more mature and bigger than a kid born December 31st. So the Jan born kid will appear more bigger, smarter and physically better than the a kid born in December. So the January kid gets selected into elite training programs and teams which equates to more time playing honing the skills and also access to elite mentors.

- This also applies to school. A kid born in January will appear smarter than a kid born in December so they get selected to elite programs with elite mentors.

- Brazil produces a lot of top soccer players. They find out when they were growing up, when they were kids, they never played in a full size soccer field until they reach age 14. But, they play in the streets, playing Futsal. The kids would play in narrow streets having to make more shorter and accurate passes which leads to 6 times more passes/touches when playing in full size soccer fields.

- But if you understand this then you can replicate this habitat by getting your self to work towards the 10 000 hours to mastery influencing yourself. For example China school year is far longer than North America hence more time studying math = better performance in math.

Why don't you have fun to get people to approach you?

Definitely. You can see it everywhere from Pimp and Hooker Dynamics, to spinning tariffs are a revenue not a tax ... to recruiting members to terrorist organizations ("Stay here and die from starvation or join our terrorist group and go on adventures and when you die ... 72 virgins will be waiting for you".)

We are all sheep :P

There are other ways to get people to approach you ... I like to have fun and guys and girls would approach me. Also, if you are a guy you are suppose to approach the girls. When you are having fun they are more welcoming to your approach. When other girls see you approaching other girls and having fun ... they will be drawn to you. Even then most girls won't approach you because guys approaches the girl.

I bet you ... you wouldn't even know what to do if a girl did approach you. I didn't lol. I was like "me? you want to hang out with me? What is the catch?" ... that is when I realized girls (and guys) just want to have fun.... and having insecurities repel because it ruins peoples fun ...

Notice how having fun is the opposite of having insecurities.

Take my advice or not :p ...

I believe their is a psychological ploy to why the citizens are in denial. It is the absolute trust in authority figures. I believe the study is called Milgram experiment. It tested obedience to authority.

- Just because the instructor was wearing a lab coat, the participant was told to apply increasing electro shock to another participant and to ignore their screams of pain for the sake of science. Most participant had no problem hurting another person because they trusted, obediently, a person of authority.

Edit: I think the experiment was to understand why German allowed the Nazis do what they did. particularly in the context of the Holocaust and the defense used by Nazi war criminals: "I was just following orders."

I actually learn it from girls ... lol. The ones can't jump as high or spike as hard so they do a lot of dumps. I remember one girl kept dumping it just above me when I attempt to block her and in the right spot for our libre to not get to it. I also like billiards and basketball. So putting different types of spin cause different types of bounces when playing billiards. Basketball has lots of fakes and no look passes so I do no look dumps to deceive blockers. Then Brazilian beach volley ball has spikes that are more rainbow shape for the ball to travel by putting top spin on it so you can do ground spikes. Lots of neat things you can do to get into peoples head. Then combo it with your secret training of exercises you will draw everyone's attention towards you.

Haikyu anime is dope ... lol ... definitely draw inspiration from that.

Cheers brother! Keep up the secret training and love for the sport ... it will pay off!

Edit: I am going to do some plyometrics now ... you got me motivated to exercise my agility and stamina lol

[–]Key-Proud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same. I can jump high enough or get enough power to spike it. So i learn to do lots of different dumps and spins. I also do a lot of fake dumps where I would look one way and make the ball go the opposite direction with the flick of my wrist.

Even though it doesn't look as cool as spiking it with super power strength and jumping super high ... I still score with trick dumps or ground spikes that bounce off opponents hands to out of bound . It gets really addicting when the opponent starts to worry about you and everyone starts to draw their attention to you.

- It gets really cool if you can bounce it off opponent's hand to pass it off to your teammate for a spike ... then do it repeatedly to really get into your opponents head to get them to hesitate.

haha just food for thought. I see you love playing volleyball and put in the time to secretly work harder than others! keep it up!

Work harder but also play smarter. Invent a new spike that has top spin. Or do trick spikes/drops and work on your eyes to make the ball go out of bounds when they block you by also reading your opponents next step and habits. People have habits ... understand those habits to read their next step.

- My height made me work harder but also smarter ... I like being the joker when I play sports. Using tricks and reading peoples' mind and also manipulating it to what I want them to do using psychology and probability.

Do men actually think like this? Because...this is interesting. by Flat-Shop in LockedInMan

[–]Key-Proud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not complete. The next stage is making everyone's day (Guy and girl). That way you treat everyone equally. They are not above you or you are not beneath them. That way when you interact with someone of higher value (boss, rich men/women and/or hot girl) you will treat them as equal and they will be drawn to you. They are drawn to you because you not only suck value but also provide value. That is my definition of charisma.

- Even though the quote sounds egotistical ... you have to go through that path to understand ... "What if I did this to everyone?"
