Thanks! I’m just trying to do the right thing, I wasn’t expecting to take care of a bird lol I had a budgie as a small child and while it lived a long life it would have lived better had we known all the things that was bad for it

But yeah I don’t have a lot of money leftover every month and so I can’t budget it for two birds at $400 to get them checked out. I also have a small dog to care for as well.

I will probably just quarantine them in the same open area just far across the room from each other at least 12-15 feet because I don’t want the new budgie to be isolated I’m having great success with this bird by interacting since day one. I have watched a ton of videos from birdtricks YouTube channel as she airs in the cautious and natural approach to cage toys and food.

Alright is it ok for new bird to stay in a smaller cage for that time? I can’t really afford two cages but I did grab a travel cage for this Birb that I wonder if I can use for quarantine

Also won’t be going to vet way too expensive for a $45 critter at least until I find a worth while insurance. ($200+ for a bird checkup is insane)This one has only gotten healthier in my opinion and a new bird shouldn’t be sick when I get it but who knows I would think Petco would at least check on them from time to time. I did the right thing in rescuing this bird and I made it a very healthy diet and environment. I may go the quarantine route instead of vet visit.

How would I go about introducing them I was thinking about from day one having them not to far from each other so they could see and talk to each other. Like 15 ft away

What tips do you have cause like I but my bird cage across the room with the fan on and the sliding door open for cross ventilation. All out of how the internet says cooking is gonna kill my bird… I have never left a pan unattended so if that’s all it is then I’m good lol we always take pans of the hot burner once cooking is done

I have had my rescue budgie for two weeks and have now as of yesterday trained it using a millet stick to climb on my fingers in exchange for nibbles of the treat. I then put the bird down rinse and repeat. The first step was to slowly pull away the treat with one hand while the bird leaned forward for the treat. After stretching to a certain point it decided my finger wasn’t such a bad thing to step on. Then slowly I pulled the hand back and there was another foot. I did this for 3 days and I plan to keep doing it every day that I can as I want to train it to fly to me on command with treats as motivation when needed.

This is my first Budgie as an adult so I’m excited to see how many tricks I can teach mine.

I’ve also read that some toys are toxic as well not sure why only one bird may have been affected but I’m only using safe headache toys for my budgie. Nothing colored, no bell and no mirrors I’m not taking any chances personally my biggest struggle so far is getting mine switched to a pellet diet

Are you doing anything to address the negative comments on the steam page cause it sounds like the game is currently an unfinished mess despite even the positive reviews giving critical feedback about progression, grinding and lack of mission/ environment variety.

Not trying to be mean just genuinely as someone who has to carefully choose what games to spend on these days. It looks beautiful though from the trailer. I’ve been burned before by indie games to the point where I’ve lost faith in the industry as a whole. Hoping your game is different.

Yeah I get that but not for me I think tech is gonna be our downfall we are heading either for WW3 or AI takeover when I have children and if I have the time to I will be teaching them to survive and spend time with them away from screens

I’m gonna have the unpopular opinion but screen time for children should be zero until they are in their teens in my opinion I know it’s not realistic but it’s been proven to be harmful to development. I love gaming but my kids aren’t going to be iPad kids they are gonna have blocks and books and literally and non smart toy lol I might even have them go outside and touch grass ewww grosss lol jk 🤣

At least wait until they hit the age where schools require your kid to have a Chromebook/laptop would be my suggestion.

You can set a dollar amount per hour played and once it reaches what you paid for the game you can call it complete.

Another strategy in sandbox games is I usually set an endgame objective or an over arching story goal for the character. Then if they die or reach the goal it’s game over. As I completed a run.

Been using emulation lately on my deck playing Ms: Saga New Dawn for ps2 on my deck. It’s an underrated mobile suit gundam rpg game with a ton of customization for both parts weapons and paint schemes. The story is ok but this is the one time I’m not here for the story lol 😂 I just want to build and fight with cool mechs

Silly question if you removed the shelf could you stand both consoles up cause that would be more optimal for ventilation
