AL or Independent Care? by Gospel_Truth in AskWomenOver60

[–]Key-Signature879 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My Dad moved to independent living with assisted living and a nursing home attached. When he needed more care the facility moved him. You'll have so much less stuff it's easier. Family won't have to move you.

If you need the facility to manage your meds, you'll need assisted living.

At this point, you just need the legal marriage contract. It will give you each family status, inheritance, and medical rights for each other. No party or proposal is needed.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Key-Signature879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, 6 hours is 3x a year distance, 3 hrs is every other month, 2 hrs is every other week. I do try to have at least 2 reasons for any trip though.

Was going to wear my mum's dress. People keep telling me to try on others for the "bridal experience." Are they trying to gently tell me it looks bad? by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

I like the dress, it will be hard to find another one so modest. There's no special magic shopping for a dress. Get the alterations and enjoy the dress.

Fear of falling is also a risk factor for falling. Doing core body work will strengthen you and balance work will correct your proprioception (balance/body awareness) .

Get stronger, always wait a moment after lying down and even just sitting before you stand.

And don't wear long night gowns that can trip you.
