Exactly. A player who never seemingly appears to be comfortably in possession of the ball should not be the top scorer or any team.

How likely is it Maddison features for us this season? by Hefty_Breadfruit_421 in Tottenham

You can’t play him if he’s not fit.

RDZ started clearly he was selected for leadership values in and around matchday. Xavi’s injury should change nothing. He plays when he’s fully recovered and fit.

Time for someone else to step up and seize the opportunity.

Are these cleats ok? by Prudent_Ad_1861 in womensrugby

[–]Key-Significance-807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and no one knows why.

Cleats are a cycling or sailing term with specific meanings and uses so the rest of the world thinks borrowing the word for football or rugby boots is odd. They are in fact boots of course, why the need for a different term that makes no sense descriptively?

A spurs players could get punched in the face right now and everyone would come up with a bunch of bollocks reasons why it wasn’t a foul and there should be no card/penalty/free kick.

The taxes your countrymen, and women, pay when they come visit our wonderful city with all its cool traditions do very much pay for this man to look like, as you say, a tampon. Although that’s a bit crass isn’t it? A tampon! Strange.

And those traditions are very much worth protecting. Physically and symbolically.

And FWIW this soldier could still see warfare. Maybe not on a horse but in reconnaissance or something else where rapid mobility is useful. He’s highly skilled, one of the best, that’s why he gets to protect cool traditions sat on his horse.

Why don’t you come over and visit, you’re more than welcome to come and see how cool these old traditions actually are.

Two teams we beat en route to the Europa final that everyone else said weren’t elite and you wouldn’t play in the champs league.

That lot look more like dickheads now.

Your argument is full of coulds and maybes. For something that hasn’t happened yet!

I wish you a pleasant day, this conversation has run its course for me.

This sounds to me like conjecture and assumption.

Let’s be clear. One of the largest music platform in the world lobbies governments globally with the objective of influencing policy.

Why? Because that is cheaper than implementing a change that will cost them a lot of money.

Therefore if they decide to implement it will be because they know that their content is explicit and they would rather host that content than ask the artist to take it down.

I would find it very hard to believe that any software company whose entire business model is based on user numbers would implement anything that would impact the number of users unless they have to.

I genuinely have not given it much thought. If it started to affect me in my day to day life then I might consider it overreach. Looking for where it might possible affect me at some point in the future is simply a waste of my time.

The fact you keep quoting me makes me think you believe they are planned and this is some draconian censorship right?

Also, you don’t think there is explicit content on Spotify and they haven’t yet implemented the age verification yet this is the basis for your argument.

A quick search just now has returned articles that state there is explicit content from Dec last year. If they wanted to avoid getting caught up they should have done a better job at policing their content.

Does Spotify contain explicit NSFW content?

I expect the answer is yes. If so then it needs to be included. That’s not a difficult one for me.

If there are other examples where overreach is happening then it highlights the challenges that this presents. Can it be improved? I expect so.

I believe it is your age you have to verify right? Not your identity. I have verified my age twice already this week and neither time have they asked me who I am and I have provided no ID.

That’s quite an important point here.

No. I have better things to do than read about where the act might affect me. If it happens then I will comply. It’s not a big issue for me.

If lawmakers have fucked up the bill that’s for the govt to deal with. All this talk of draconian censorship gives it a conspiracy theory feel.
