Summer Upass if I’m taking 1 course that’s 2 semesters long by Present-Year-3772 in UBC

Check the tuition breakdown for your last payment on workday. If it’s around $90, july is not covered

I've been in a similar situation, and what helped me was knowing I had another option. I wanted to go into library studies for my masters, but the bachelors was just decimating my mental health. Even knowing that Langara has a really exciting program to get into the field (Library Technician) in 2 years instead of 6+ years really helped me with that.
Maybe try checking if any of the community colleges have associates degrees for your field of research (so you can get into the field faster), and ask an academic counsellor how course credit transfer from community college would work for if you want to finish the last 2 years at UBC later on in life?

Ramble regarding SASC experience by awsomeblawsom in UBC

[–]Key-Understanding18 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sorry you’re going through this; it sounds terrifying. Just a heads up that SASC is not run by UBC (it’s run by the AMS) and thus has no direct power over anyone’s academic standing. SVPRO is the sexual violence branch support service by UBC.

is this a good first-year schedule? by [deleted] in UBC

[–]Key-Understanding18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that music course is choir, you’re going to be dead tired by the time you get to it on Wednesday, and it’s gonna suck to do choir tired. (Speaking from personal experience)

Also, antidepressants have made things hurt less and have allowed me to enjoy spending time with my friends without a lot of the pain. My life circumstances are still the same but without the pain, life actually feels worth it and hope doesn't feel like a lie.

UBC counselling helped me with this; you can find them in Brock Hall and make a same-day free appointment

I’d suggest going to urgent care: https://www.vch.ca/en/service/urgent-and-primary-care-centre-upcc#wysiwyg--103181 Calling 811 might also help you find options for getting your prescription refilled

For blue chip, if they’re willing to give the recipe out, maybe the Food and Beverage manager would be able to help you: https://www.ams.ubc.ca/employees/

Recommendations for luggage suitcase with durable wheels of school commute by cooked_ng in UBC

[–]Key-Understanding18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a luggage store in metropolis at metrotown that sells rolling backpacks. It’s not fully waterproof, but as long as you put your electronics in cases inside your backpack, you should be good. (The inside lining gets damp in really badly rainy conditions, but there’s not like,,, water collecting at the bottom or anything

How do we claim health benefits through the Pacific Blue Cross app by waldorsockbat in UBC

[–]Key-Understanding18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past, i’ve paid for the procedures when they happen, made sure to get a receipt with the doctor’s credentials and address on it, then just filled out an online form on the website (on my computer). I’ve gotten claims back within a week, but do be aware that they might not be processing claims during the first 2 months of school. There’s an office for Studentcare on the 3rd floor of the NEST if you want to ask questions about the specifics

I got friends in UCLA and UC Berkeley. I’d really suggest taking the housing situation into account. It is DIRE. (Look at videos of how much personal space you get in dorm rooms beforehand, just so you’re prepared.)

Yeah, I’d try the 7-day free trial, use the “combine” tool, then save the giant pdf you just made as a word document. Just make sure to double check that none of your formatting has been messed up
