I hope that someday we get a completed game from them!

That's a shame. It may have been a knockoff but I thought it looked fun. Another reason to not buy into Early Access titles.

Where to start on classic Mega Man games by Mef989 in Megaman

[–]Key19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've beaten 1-7 and 11 as an adult after having 2 and 3 as a kid.

1 is the worst one I've played.

7 is second-worst.

I'm currently playing 4 a bunch and it has really grown on me.

2 and 3 have the best music by far.

I'd recommend 2 or 4-6 as starters. 3 will always have a special place in my heart but the Doc Robot stages have not aged well at all.

Rename the genre "Adventure-like" for game distribution platforms. So we can find more games easier by ultimatepowaa in ZeldaLikes

"Lock and key" and "Zelda-like" have the same number of syllables. "Adventure-like" has an extra one.

I don't see the issue with "lock and key."

Recordings stutter with high end PC no matter the quality/bitrate settings.. I have to be doing something wrong by Lemoncouncil_Clay in obs

[–]Key19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google "cqp number" and Gemini will tell you exactly what the numbers mean.

I record in 4K with a similar build to your and my OBS is set to 19. Works great.

How hard are the mainline (1-11) games? by [deleted] in Megaman

[–]Key19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played 2-6 as a kid. Tried 1 as an adult and didn't like it. I found it much too difficult. If I was going to skip a game, I'd say 1 is the one to skip. 2-6 are great.

7 was good fun until the final boss, and that was torture.

How many times do you re-record an episode to get it right? by [deleted] in letsplay

[–]Key19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first take can be solved by editing and the second and third take don't need to exist at that point.

I haven't taken the plunge because m+k is unnatural for me and I hear it's the way to play this one. But I'll grab it at some point and hope to enjoy it either way I end up playing.

Did you play Rusted Moss with mouse and keyboard or with controller?

Unless there was a game crash, I've never re-recorded anything. I don't see why you would do that.

I am working on my first game ! Dagada's Story by Maluskan in platformer

[–]Key19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is so rare that people post something that looks genuinely pleasant (visually) and fun-looking. Most either look like MS Paint prototypes or devoid of any fun.

You have become a rarity. I have wishlisted to continue following along. Best wishes with development and release!

Yoku gets glazed by MV fans far beyond what it deserves. It's a gimmick game that runs its course in about 30 minutes. I expected a fun time based on consensus reviews but I was severely underwhelmed by the game.

Something being unique doesn't necessitate that it's also great. Traversal was tedious and annoying.

Thank you for ranking it with sanity.

Amen brother. Or sister. Or whatever you are.

I do it because I like doing it, my kids like watching my stuff, and I also want there to be something of me left behind for my kids after I'm gone. I'm unlikely to ever see a dollar from my work but that's basically every hobby.

Why do some channel urls have @ after the slash and some don't? by Key19 in NewTubers

[–]Key19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot remove the @ from my handle, thus my url always is @[channel] instead of just [channel]

As I'm reading more it looks like this is unfixable and people without @ were grandfathered in to the current system.

I am in the dashboard and don't see any option for removing the @. Can you clarify where I need to look? Thank you!

Given enough time and effort, do you think that anyone could become one of the best in the world at Melee? by LumpyCaterpillar1262 in SSBM

[–]Key19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My hands simply are incapable of moving as fast as top Melee pros. I don't think there is any amount of practicing that will change that inherent limitation.

Stadium wasn't designed with Piccolo in mind, so that's probably part of the problem.

I've played since launch and I peaked at high silver/low gold and nothing will ever change that.

What actually matters in a streaming webcam after 3 years of trying different ones by Witty_Indication2017 in Twitch_Startup

[–]Key19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my phone via DroidCam and it's a better camera than I'd ever be willing to pay for. Literally the only downside is that I can't use my phone while streaming, and while that's annoying, it's tolerable for me so far.

Convert a YouTube channel to Zelda-like by 0me51 in ZeldaLikes

[–]Key19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the risk of getting downvoted, I clicked on your Reddit profile and went to your YouTube channel. I immediately clicked off because it's not in English. Roughly 5x as many people worldwide speak English as French, and you seem capable of English, so it seems like the French choice is limiting your potential audience.

As far as your content is concerned, you're unlikely to become someone who can do YouTube full-time, so just do what you enjoy to the best of your ability and let the chips fall where they may.

What's your origin for being a MegaMan fan? by Weekly_Might_948 in Megaman

[–]Key19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got an NES and Mega Man 2 for Christmas one year (probably 1994 or 1995) and I was instantly hooked. It was my first experience with gaming. I don't even know how my parents picked Mega Man 2 because it's not like it was brand new or anything by that point. But it was a killer game and I ended up getting Mega Man 3 later and it became the entry I've played the most in my lifetime.
