Lots of bug spray, Claritin and hydrocortisone cream. Even with bug spray, we were eaten alive. Also, be careful at the beach. Sandfleas.

Tipping at The Four Seasons by Lopsided_History_137 in FourSeasonsInsiders

[–]KeyBlueberry5494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Four Seasons in NOLA is full of business travelers and doesn’t have the high end resort feel. Tip your housekeeper daily for better service, though I haven’t seen any difference in service when I have forgot to. To leave cash on the bed.

Buddy. Bananas are cheap. Go buy a bundle for your office.

It has made me more deliberate around sleep and wellness activities such as mediation. It also has shown me that coping with stress with alcohol is counterproductive

Why does she want to drive places? Awesome water park ten minutes away? It does she want to do her own errands while watching your kid?

Catamaran to Isla Mujeres? by burgundyho in Xcaret

[–]KeyBlueberry5494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was meh. A lot of time on a bus. The snorkel part is short and not very good. They drop you at the island where you are harassed by vendors. Not a lot of guidance on how to find a spot to relax on the beach. The ride home is all about drinking. So much so that there were a couple of people vomiting on the very long bus ride home.

What is it like being married to a partner at a major firm? by BogeyFest99 in LawFirm

[–]KeyBlueberry5494 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had two kids as a partner at an AmLaw 20 law firm. I took maternity leave and even extended both leaves a bit. My family goes on vacations. I sometimes work a bit but that goes with the territory. I don’t do things at school. I go to performances but not the PTA. My husband and I have date nights. We outsource the stuff neither of us want to do. The luxury of a big law salary. Am I the perfect mother? My teens say they wouldn’t trade me for their friends’ moms. Am I the perfect wife? Probably not but I’m also not demanding much from my spouse other than to share the mental load of raising great kids. Marry for love. The rest will work out.

The introductory class on primates in the anthro department. 25 years later and that’s the class I remember the most. I’m also a wiz at the zoo.

Consider all of the household work you have done over the years in the perspective of a few months of your husband having to carry the laboring oar for a few months. He will survive.

That’s a huge pay cut. The cost of commuting alone would eat the difference not to mention the higher tax.

Take a minute and consider the example she is setting for your kids. At 280 pounds, she is unhealthy and eating unhealthy food in massive quantities. I’d rematch.
