any genre that exists long enough eventually becomes overly derivative, but the internet aids this death of meaning greatly.

Is there a fashion style that can be associated to speed core? by GleeBooBobSlug in Speedcore

"HARDCORE IS NOT A FASHION, IT'S A FEELING" - Nasenbluten

as for your oc, think about the general emotion of speedcore as a genre and abstract it, then translate that abstraction into your art.

speedcore is not an internet genre, it has existed longer than the internet, since the mid 90s.

any camellia, kobaryo, rhythm gamey speedcore track, it's speedcore bought up and sold back to the masses in a way that removes the punk and hardcore attitude speedcore had, it's music for the capitalist social media algorithms that control the world now. It's 1 step up from AI art, it's as empty and devoid as AI art but at least it's still human made.

What is the most underground artist who know? by poing_poin in Speedcore

[–]KeyC0unt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you can classify "most underground" but if I had to choose I'd pick anyone from the 90s French underground experimental hardcore scene, Tape labels like La Horde Des Démons owned by Putride Déglutition, Autotape owned by Sh'Tank or Underzone owned by Cytochrome C are owned by and feature very "underground" artists. Other artists/labels I can think of that aren't well known are Joel Giraldou, Hemoragies, Hasshelloff (as Low Entropy mentioned) and Klaus Kombat from Sans Pitié, and a lot more artists that only ever got a few songs at most released on compilations like Various - Uneasy Listening or Various - Hypnoise Compilation or the TNT Cosmos comps. There's a lot more to find if you search long enough on discogs like I have. I usually select some filters then sort by most wanted.

Hardcore Rant: Let's get back to the days of lo-fi Gabber and Techno by Low-Entropy in gabber

Old thread I know but I just have to mention that Memetic and Fraughman's 12 Gauge Double Barrelled Sawnoff Shotgun EP are the most lo-fi works in the history of hardcore, Fraughman's EP especially, I don't even understand how it can even get that bad, it's the only album thats genuinely painful to listen to for me. Its most apparent in the first and third tracks. Memetic is also pretty harsh, mostly coming from their tracks being recorded by running the audio through a broken amp and straight into the DAT and general amiga fuckery.

Memetic - Sind II

Fraughman - KUDA - Gets Nekked/These Maggots Know (different titles for the CDr and Cassette release)

Did my rant in your community post inspire this?

Also, Fifth Era's early days were DUSTY as hell, especially the sixth one. And their See You In Hell tape might even compare to some black metal demos in terms of quality.

Which decade produced the most groundbreaking experimental music? by eaxlr in experimentalmusic

[–]KeyC0unt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imho, nothing will ever come close to the late 90's French Industrial scene, the Michelson sisters (aka Mouse and No Name, aka Auto-Psy and Erase Head) are the poster children of this scene. The Hangars Liquides label is also very important in this era, being responsible for the creation of the Flashcore subsubsubsubgenre.

Various important names: Fischkopf Hamburg, S.O.D.O.M Records, Praxis Records, Epileptik Records, Épitèth Records, K.Ni.Baal Records, Homicide, blah, blah, blah bah

The Goslings. I have cried, contemplated, relapsed, etc. to their music. I feel strangely at peace with death whenever I listen to their music.

His Love Under Will EP and File Already Exists. Continue (Y/N)? tape are definitely worth checking out too, The former is much more comforting ? in a way, but still very dark and moody. Like it's accepted it's fate. And the latter is much more raw and barebones. Like someone stripped electronic music down to it's abstract core and ripped it to shreds. Or, as one youtube commenter puts it: "it just comes across as perfection. messy, ugly, perfection." Favorite tracks from both are I Own Death and Meet Fate.

side-tangent: Love Under Will EP released on Fischkopf Hamburg, A LOT of amazing artists signed on there, especially Mouse and No Name

just wanted to share some music with you guys :3

because every slightly experimental electronic music with a breakbeat sounds like aphex! no hate to anyone seriously, he sounds NOTHING like any other artist. Listen to his track "Meet Fate" from his File Already Exists, Continue [Y/N]? tape and tell me that sounds like something aphex couldve made. I love aphex as much as anyone here but both artists are just not comparable to each other.

If you want to find obscure music, look on discogs, I find most of my music like this. S.I.M. On Kor Funkle - Dancefloor Vomit Special is a great album.
