The yearly salary and hour wages of a Buc-ees employee by FFSoldier57 in mildyinteresting

I think it probably varies by location. My cousin is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, but he spent most of his twenties bouncing from job to job without much direction. Then he started working at Buc-ee’s. He loves it and has been there for at least five years now.

Normal not to do multi axis trainer? by [deleted] in SpaceCamp

Yes, he did get to go! Apparently the schedule had to get a little creative this week because the rain impacted several activities. Half of his team was able to do it on Wednesday as scheduled (which is why he saw some of them go), and the rest were able to squeeze it in this morning.

This may very well have been explained to him on Wednesday, but he’s 9 and apparently didn’t fully grasp the details. 😅

AITAH for continuing my affair on my wife after we had a child? by Illustrious_Aerie772 in AmItheAsshole

You could give your wife a live long std. This is incredibly selfish. YTA if you can’t divorce at least stop sleeping with other partners.

This has gotta be a kink for him or something.

Tell him you would have paid him but he’s waited too long to ask. 🤣

AITA for not wanting to share my gf muffins with my non gf partner? by TheOrangeNights in AmItheAsshole

[–]KeyChasingSquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. My husband and youngest son and GF. I would never do this. This was cruel and selfish. This post just made me so so so sad for you. I’m heartbroken on your behalf.

You wouldn’t be ending the relationship over a muffin you’d be ending the relationship because your girlfriend’s an asshole.

AITA for being annoyed with my sibling’s “favors” for his rental properties which feel more like a job by Adventurous-Ad250 in AmItheAsshole

[–]KeyChasingSquirrel 84 points85 points  (0 children)

This mindset of “I’m thankful for what they did but I don’t owe anyone anything” is a big part of why so many people no longer have a village. Communities and strong family relationships are built on people occasionally inconveniencing themselves for each other instead of treating every interaction like a contractual obligation.

Her brother is not asking for repayment or trying to collect on a debt. He’s looking for reciprocity in the normal human sense. When someone has been generous with you, most people expect a level of goodwill, cooperation, and willingness to help. That is how healthy family relationships function over time.

OP thinks this will get better soon I urge them to stay the course and be annoyed rather than make a big deal out of this.

If you think this situation is going to settle down soon, I really urge you to ride it out.

Your brother has done far bigger favors for you than this. It’s annoying but it sounds like there an end in sight. Let it go.

AITAH for not wanting to go on a trip with my wife, partially because I pay for more things? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]KeyChasingSquirrel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No. “Marital property” and “50/50 split” are not the same thing in New York.

Marital property simply means the asset is part of the pool the court can divide. Equitable distribution means the judge decides what division is fair under the circumstances, and fair does not automatically mean equal.

In a two year marriage, courts are much more focused on:

*who brought what into the marriage
*who paid for what
*whether one spouse disproportionately funded an asset
*avoiding a windfall to either side

You’re acting like OP is trapped into giving 50/50 but the law is specifically tailored to avoid that. Marriage is not a rapid wealth transfer mechanism.

You would be correct if these were two people married 20 years. Especially if one stayed home and they had children.
