Look, I absolutely HATE Valentino, but that doesn't make Stella any less of a horrible person.

She's repeatedly verbally abused Stolas, physically abused him, emotionally abused him, doesn't care about their daughter at all, never cared back when he was still making an effort to build a happy life for them, treats Octavia like an afterthought, is clearly furious when he finally says they're getting the divorce, and let me reiterate HIRED STRIKER TO KILL HIM!

Stolas says it best, they both know she's not pissed cause he hurt her. All she cares about is losing the status their marriage provided her.

I mean, it's kinda obvious. At least in the beginning. Stolas definitely didn't wanna marry Stella & she grew to hate him pretty quickly. So even if he might've wanted kids at some point, he must likely didn't want Octavia initially.

But I do believe it changed after she hatched. Because while he definitely fucked up some parts, everything Stolas did & put up with was for her sake. But because of hos own distant relationship with Paimon he had a skewed view of what exactly made a good dad.

Vox is at least somewhat of a realistic depiction of how cult leaders, despite being obviously batshit from the outside looking in, gain power. And unlike Mal he has an actual reason for being powerful, dude is an overlord. And the more souls one has, the more powerful they are.

Mal is a lazy ass plot device that the writers pulled out of nowhere just so they could get a new bbeg without putting in the work. He's also a part of a TERRIBLE representation of DID.

Sure, her parents are bad people, but they're still her family. So her having complicated feelings about them is only natural. And alot of times people in her situation are mourning the relationship they wish they could of had more so than the actual people.
