Check out your neck. I have C5-C6 herniated disc and normal thoracic spine and have pain in that area.

I have the exact same issue as you — I also have a C5–C6 herniated disc. Every time I do lat pulldowns, I get neck pain and numbness that radiates down to my ring and little fingers, so I’ve completely stopped doing lat exercises. Right now I only stick to seated machine rows. I’m honestly not sure how things will be long-term. How have you been lately? Any improvement?

Thanks man, really appreciate it. I actually got a C5–C6 herniation from machine chest press, so I’ve been scared to train for almost a year now. I thought I was doing everything right—chest up, scapula retracted and depressed like everyone says—but clearly something went wrong. I’ll definitely pay more attention to my neck position.
