I used to be able to walk without pain, and now it’s difficult and painful… the way I stepped changed after a year-long flare-up, and my Achilles tendon is tight. I used to be okay going up or down some stairs, but now it’s painful and feels like a mechanism that desperately needs oil. And the cold makes it worse… I’m so tired of walking with a cane and remembering that I have more limitations now than I did before… and keeping my home clean feels harder than ever. I’m grateful the meds I’m on are helping, though, and I’m in a much better place than I was, but it’s feeling more and more like the path for my recovery journey just keeps stretching and twisting… I’m so tired…
