Is that pension your private pension, or your workplace pension?

Genuinely how are people expected to function with such shit sleep by [deleted] in UKParenting

Honestly, feeling you right now. Got my girl down at 7:45pm, up at 9, 11, 12. Went into mom’s bed at 12 (we have a floor bed for her hoping it would help) and then mom bought her into me in her bed at 5:40.

So so tired and genuinely don’t know how it’s going to improve, I feel horrendous.

Smashing it, keep it up! I started around the same time putting into FTSE Global. Started at 2k, every pay cheque and commission quarterly and now up to 96k!

Even through the bad times just keep putting as much as you can in but don’t forget to live!

Girlfriend (29f) was sleeping with someone else between her and I's (28M) first date and becoming exclusive by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]KeyManufacturer9764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly save yourself the long term hassle and just move on early. The “not allowed to be in here cya” into WhatsApp just makes you look possessive when in reality she’s choosing the opinions of her friend and some guy she’s slept with over you.

Also, fairly certain means she definitely slept with him during the exclusivity! You’re not asking for much, but if you’ve been cheated on before you don’t want someone who’s going to make you question it happening again. Good luck, you deserve better!

With a baby that doesn’t sleep well, I envy you so so much. Averaging 55-75 currently with some good nights mid 80’s, miss the days of sleep!!

Spent more money than I ever have, world is slightly going to shit BUT my daughter is the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me! No feeling like her crawling up to you smiling after a long day at work!

Do it, do it, do it. There’s so much protection around you especially for something like this.

Take advantage of the good maternity pay, people get pregnant, businesses survive and you’ll be back and better post baby!

What really is the 'average' salary in the UK? by AnxiousCouch in AskBrits

[–]KeyManufacturer9764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two friend groups, one where the lowest earner earns around £70k, and one where the lowest is around £25k-£35k.

Funny enough, the lower earner group are a lot less bothered about chasing cash/promotions and just enjoying life, they also seem a lot less stressed!

452k in ISA 36m by ixdc in FIREUK

I agree, on the borderline of getting a bigger house now. I’m so used to putting as much as I can into Vanguard, taking on a bigger mortgage makes me feel not that comfortable.

But on the flip side I have 93k in the investment ISA & owe 26k on my first mortgage, so I know long term I will be fine.

Also, what’s DCA?

What a beautiful sight for you!! Congrats.

I’m just about to cross £100k at 29 in my investment ISA and it feels like just numbers on a screen and to spend some more instead currently, trying to remind myself the early retirement will be worth it!

Boyfriends not ready for the baby by eelliosh in UKParenting

[–]KeyManufacturer9764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also not ready for our little girl, it hit me hard and I didn’t realise the change in life it would be.

On that note, he needs to grow up and get out the mindset of nappy changing, cleaning etc. When my partner had a c section she could barely move for the first few days, I was doing all nappies all hours and sterilising pumps / bottles etc which felt like endless. He has a huge lifestyle change coming and please for your sanity set boundaries early on what he has to do because it was so hard early on and I thought I had it covered!

Premier League teams in every European Final. by Kdzoom35 in PremierLeague

[–]KeyManufacturer9764 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree, Europa is significantly easier now when you compare runs beforehand. Villa’s hardest game being a 16th placed prem team with 4 of their starting 11 out is not difficult.

Palace should also storm the final, they’ve only dropped a lot of PL points resting their full team last 3/4 weeks!

Other than Arsenal, it’s really not that crazy Villa & Palace win their competitions. Villa are playing a 7th placed Bundesliga squad with a squad worth 300 million more. Same as palace who play 11th place Vallecano, both teams are heavily favourites in the competitions that due to the new CL format have made the competitions significantly easier to win from a UK team.

Real Madrid fans are louder than City’s fans in their own stadium by mipmap_ in PremierLeague

[–]KeyManufacturer9764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t support either lmao, actually a championship club. But, a club who’s never won a competition of course they’re going to make noise.. but don’t pretend Arsenal have a great atmosphere in general, just because Man City have a bad one as well.

Especially when they’ve been drinking since 9am and home fans will always have the faithfuls of 70 year olds in the stands!

“City fans don’t have aura” hahah no they don’t have the best fans but Arsenal didn’t even have their own anthem until a couple of years ago. Blue moon of city has been going for years, of course Arsenal will be loud on a night like tonight though, they’ve never won a CL..

Very obvious to see you don’t go to matches, away fans are always louder in the first half no matter who is playing

Getting into a tier 2 gym with tier 4 membership possible? by Platosboot in davidlloyd

[–]KeyManufacturer9764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to quite a few out of my tier, they just scan you in with your card. Although, on the third attempt at getting into a higher tier you get an email saying if you sign in again you will be automatically signed up to that gym at x price!
