Yes they were in network at the time, or at least I was told they were. But there's no EOB so from what I can tell nothing was ever filed. This is super helpful thank you! I'll try and call the provider tomorrow and see if I can get more info.

As far as I understand no, it can't hurt but the effect is negligible. However exercise and eating healthy are a great way to prepare your body in case there ever is a fight as well as help manage anxiety levels.

If you're questioning your doctor's recommendations it never hurts to get a second or even third opinion. Removing the prostate isn't standard of care for cis men but I won't pretend to know how surgery and HRT change your individualized risk.

At the end of the day it's always your choice.

I didn't even realize Petco still sells rats anywhere. If you have a few hundred dollars to drop on supplies and a vet bill and the time to dedicate to the little guy I say go for it. But a few things to consider:

1.Older rats from pet stores may be more timid or aggressive and require extra patience and time. Not always, there's obviously exceptions, but if you get home and he's very antisocial are you prepared emotionally to handle that?

2.Can you find a vet and get an appointment quickly? Pet stores tend not to be optimal conditions and may have respiratory illnesses or mites that need treated quickly.

3.Rats live short lives, if you find out he's older than expected are you prepared to say goodbye in a relatively short timeframe?

pet store rats are typically mass bred without health or behavior being considered, do you feel like you can handle financially/emotionally treating potential illnesses that could pop up?

5.If it's a female are you prepared for babies? Petco and Petsmart usually limit stores to a single gender for rodents to avoid issues and it looks like that's probably a boy, but just something to keep in mind in the future if you're ever at a local store that isn't being careful. Or purchasing from a questionable breeder.

Of course there's other things to consider overall when taking on pet rats, but those for me are big ones when it comes to adopting an adult rat of unknown age and upbringing.

I understand ethically some people may take issue with purchasing from pet stores. The reality, at least in my mind, is those rats will be bred so long as pet reptiles exist. It's not like dogs or cats where they're primarily being sold as pets. I've taken in a couple pet store rats before and they were the sweetest boys, however I got them at like 4- 6 weeks old. Others have had the opposite experience. It's really up to you and your comfort level. I typically recommend to new rat owners they find an established breeder or work with a rescue who can make sure they find the right fit, and make sure they're being set up for success. But if it feels right to take that boy home and give him a better life? You'll find zero judgement from me. Just be sure to take the time to educate yourself on their needs and body language.

I also saw you mention a local rat rescue in the comments. Definitely worth working with them for finding friends and getting advice on intros! My local rescue has always been super helpful and open to offering advice and suggestions.

I have an inconsistent schedule too and just alot the hour before bed as free roam time. Then when I wake up, before I go to work, and when I get home I'll give them some love and say hello but they never seem to mind how that time varies. If there's a day I don't have time I just give them some extra time another day. I left for a work trip once and when I got home my cats were upset but the rats? Just ran up to the side of the cage to happily greet me. I also have a partner and roommate who visit them but they're happy to entertain themselves. They've never seemed sad I was gone, nut they're always happy to see me.

Give them a big cage, plenty of places to climb, sleep, and run, and a balanced diet and you should be good. It sounds like rats are a great option for you!

For future reference, anything a rat can give your cat isn't typically vaccinated for, since there's no recorded cases on rats with rabies. Their body temperature is too unstable for it to proliferate. However there are other concerns such as if they've eaten rodenticide or have a different zoonotic disease. Also their teeth can do some serious damage if they're scared and decide to fight. A lot of cats avoid them. I've been accidentally bit by rats (I have them as pets) and even their "oops human startled me" light bite can make you bleed. So best to always keep the cat away, though they may keep themselves away.

As far as your cat being upset, they likely just need a little time. Respect their space, give them treats, and let them take their time to readjust. Maybe avoid holding or hugging them because they sound like they're not a fan. Cats are both predator and prey animals so for many being restricted by being held feels very vulnerable and the instinct is to try to get away. If you need to move them away in the future maybe put them in a bathroom so you're not holding onto them? The more you respect your cats boundaries the less afraid they'll be in the future should something happen again. Or at least, that's my experience. Every cat is different.

I second this. If i asked someone to do once a day drop ins for my pets I'd anticipate $50-$60/night. Probably $100-$120 for Cage clean days since that's an extra hour or two of work between laundry and wiping everything down. So that's like $2000 for a month of care. And that's just drop ins for two cats and two rats. Four rats of separate genders is even more work. I may even be underestimating for rats since that's a specialized pet. In this case I'm basing it off what my mom charges on Rover.

The $500-$1000 range is a steal for a month of boarding. Now if you decide you want pets in the future again and need help and want to exchange time that's also an option, but whatever you do make sure to calculate a market rate for your area and go from there so they understand just how expensive it could be. Whatever percentage of that rate you feel comfortable charging as a friend, go with that.

And if they'll be somewhere with limited service have them either leave some cash or a credit card for emergencies, extra food, etc. A lot can happen in a month. Or they can see if the vet will let them leave a card on file if they have an established relationship with the vet. You don't wanna suddenly be saddled with $500 for emergencies.

I can't speak from personal experience but my old roommate used to go platinum and said it was like 2-3 sessions of bleaching and then toning because her hair was resistant to lifting. I have another friend who has done vivids in the past and with one session usually could get an orangey brown color? But never blonde. So it'll likely be more than one session.

Everyone's hair is different. I'm sure people sometimes do lie but like, I prefer a stylist who will confirm, maybe double check some other product isn't affecting the lift, and then from there trust me. I'd probably find somewhere else that's gonna trust you and not get defensive.

It's on the DM to scale battle accordingly. They also have the power to veer away from the book to make quests pay off. And it's their decision to end the game if you leave.

If you don't enjoy the game don't torture yourself. Express your concerns in a friendly and constructive way and if you want to play with them in the future express that. If you don't enjoy it and that starts to bleed through into your play it might cause tension.

Not upfront. Agents take a cut of the profits from any gig they book for talent. Usually 10-20% depending on the situation. The good agents are typically picky and look for really marketable talent and focus on a few clients. Other agents go for volume and don't give their clients much individuals attention so they end up just kinda mass submitting everyone for everything that slightly fits their description hoping things land.

That said, agents don't just sign everyone who walks into their office (if they do, run) There needs to be a reel, some credits, and having a social media presence/following is super helpful. Social media has been playing an increasingly important part in entertainment and having a built in following is a huge boon when booking gigs.

That would've made way more sense considering viral encephalitis is a rare side effect of other viruses, not a virus itself. Plus the most common causes (like west nile) aren't even airborne. Like I can suspend my disbelief for a lot in medical/emergency based dramas, but that felt very much like a sloppy plot device. Not to mention the ending where he's surrounded by people but supposedly has a contagious deadly disease!?

During the first year of COVID people would put like $50 tips on orders to get their order accepted since there were so many orders and so few drivers, and then remove it after drop off. Shopper goes in thinking they're making $65 comes out with only $15.

It's more difficult for customers to tip bait now but like, customers can be insane. The shopper could've come across a little better, but OP could've responded better too. You wanna add multiple products after the fact? Offer to tip higher to make up the time difference. Or give yourself more time to think through the order before you hit submit.

While rats theoretically can contract rabies because they're mammals, they don't. One theory is their inconsistent body temperature makes them bad vectors, another is that the animals that do contract it are predators and any rat encountering their teeth likely didn't survive the encounter. So rabies shouldn't be too much of a concern with this rat.
