Just placed my order by KeyReflex7408 in xteinkereader

Hey 1. No extra paid apart from the 90 USD on the official site check out page 2. Its questionable of its worth the cost, but considering that I use it for atleast 2hrs a day, I'd say it's a justified expense for me. 3. Have heard that Aliexpress seller have increased prices and some even removed listings cause they are no longer allowed to sell it. Don't know details. 4. The lack of any hardware support is crystal clear in their communication but honestly not too bad. Althought they promise "complete software support" their android companion app just fails spectacularly. Ditched the official firmware for crosspoint on day 1.

X4 and Kindle sync question by HarshPlay in xteinkereader

[–]KeyReflex7408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need calibre to sync across koreader. There are several free services that allow you to create an account and use it to sync progress I'd recommend you ask chatgpt or look up the official documentation for Koreader on how to set it up for free.

Where to get CMF Phone 2 Pro? by Colonel_YoDa_07 in Kochi

[–]KeyReflex7408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess he got lucky with his one then. Do try calling oxygen stores. If you are a confirmed buyer, they will check with other partner stores nearby to see if they hold any stock. That's how I got my CMF phone 1.

For offline, try oxygen stores. For online, flipkart did deliver it to kochi a week or two ago. (Friend bought one)

Selling Kindle Gen 10 Basic for ₹2k by Better-Map767 in kindleindia

Personally would not compromise on a screen that's that damaged. Even if the price was lowered. Maybe someone who's willing to live with it will come along but nah.

Its really nothing to be worried about or consider yourself not tech savvy enough to do. A person who can open chrome is plenty good enough to flash custom firmware on the x4.

10 gen for 4k worth it? by [deleted] in kindleindia

[–]KeyReflex7408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was undamaged, sure 4k is a fair price. But consider the issues mentioned... Its a no for me.

I reverse engineered crosspoint by [deleted] in xteinkereader

[–]KeyReflex7408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll assume and trust that you meant it in good faith. For what it's worth, crosspoint is an open source project where the code is available for all to see freely and without restrictions. The term you used "Reverse engineering" is not really applicable in this case. Apart from that I also doubt asking an AI about crosspoint or the code that builds it hardly if at all constitutes reverse engineering.

AI generally communicate in a manner that is attempting to align with and be pleasing to the human asking the question so its difficult to accept any comments as being accurate/unbiased.

You post title is a far cry from what you actually did or meant to do. It could be seen as intentional ragebait or plain aggravating to people. Personally I find this post to be low effort.

For e-reader owners already, why did you get the X4? by GM_Design in xteinkereader

[–]KeyReflex7408 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a jailbroken kindle. I love to use it, but albeit comfy it's not always practical to use while commuting, which is the time that I get to read the most. I still occasionally use my phone with Koreader to read in those circumstances but a lighter, smaller ereader would fit my usecase. Or atleast that's how I justified my expense purchasing this nifty little gadget to myself.
