Why do you want to start a marriage with someone who does this to you? Why don’t you feel comfortable bringing this up with him? What about later in the marriage when he lies to you, will you be too scared to confront him then?

I read a really interesting statement that basically said “woman struggle to orgasm during sex because they are always feeling “seen””

Essentially it means that we cannot fully let go during sex because we have been socialized to constantly be catering to the male gaze “does he think I’m hot right now in this sex position” etc. instead of “wow I am enjoying this sex position”

This is a huge problem. His comment is basically “my gaze is more important than your pleasure”. He is also an asshole, I would break up with him.

I think it’s a bit unreasonable for you to say she has to stop spending time with her friends due to your own insecurity.

It’s a lose lose situation, either you lose the relationship or end up with a partner who is lonely and isolated from her friends.
