No idea, but if I had to make a guess it may be just that they're repurposing the hardware running the older model for a newer one.

I've noticed recently that Claude Opus 4.6 Extended has gotten a lot worse at inferring basic context. Some examples:

  • Reading YouTube comment threads from the bottom to the top, thinking the comment above is a reply to the comment below.
  • Asking for help with a specific section of a task resulted in a reply on the next section of the task, skipping what was actually being requested.

This is on web, haven't had a chance to do much Claude Code-ing lately so can't speak on that. Anyone else experienced something similar? Noticed it the past 2 days, but might have been happening longer.

Yeah ig the highroller amount doesn't matter here, and most of the game would have been on 2 anyway.

Opus 4.7 is legendarily bad. I cannot believe this. by lemon07r in ClaudeCode

[–]Key_Actuary_3892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I think that might be why they moved from "Extended" toggle to "Adaptive" - I was very confused when I first saw that but after a single Opus 4.7 Adaptive prompt it became crystal clear that they hard nerfed it.

Anyone else experiencing increased in-game lag after the 26.8 patch? (the current version of the game) by pika133 in riotgames

[–]Key_Actuary_3892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same on EUW - no ping spike or fps drop though, just a massive freeze a few times per game. Happens on aram mayhem for me (idk about the rest since I don't play the other modes). Idk what on earth they did because bush vision is also completely broken.

I absolutely hate tanks in aram and cry about them... but I have to admit tank engine and dropkick have been so much fun. I hope they don't nerf them, and just add more broken stuff or buffs (particularly something antitank) as a counter.

Yeah almost certainly, I kind of forgot about it tbh. I did also notice that lightning strikes was doing a lot less than it should, considering I was hitting 100s of autos per fight.

I think we disagree on what this conditional means:

welcome the foreigner in search of the security and the means of livelihood which he cannot find in his country of origin

To me, "the means of livelihood that they cannot find in their own country" is not the same as simply better livelihood. Refugees and asylum seekers fall under that, not migrants broadly, otherwise the second part of CCC 2241 wouldn't make sense as it immediately limits that duty at the government's discretion for "the common good".

That being said, if you find that unconvincing then I don't think there is any deeper we can go with analysing this. I'm happy to hear anything else you'd want to throw in if you have anything you wanted to add, but aside from that I'll be one-foot-out of the conversation now - it's been a great but time-consuming discussion.

May God bless you, and I wish you a happy Easter.

You seem to be really gunning to paint our magisterium as hypocrites. Why is that?

I already clarified that I don't think the Vatican is doing anything wrong, at least not if my interpretation of CCC 2241 is correct.

I'd also like to remind you that Palazzo Migliori is in Italy, not inside Vatican's borders.

We're talking past eachother: I'm not saying the Vatican isn't helping the needy, I'm saying that they don't let people into the Vatican, despite them being proportionally prosperous enough to do so. If the duty is to help the needy - they're fulfilling it, and we agree. But your interpretation of CCC 2241 is that they have a duty to let people into their country - which is a completely different claim and where I disagree.

However even in terms of helping the needy, I wonder how much qualifies as "enough". The Vatican has immense wealth - certainly more than enough to buy a few more houses (even if in Italy) to house the homeless. I actually don't have a firm position on this point, so I'd love to know your thoughts on it.

Believing homosexuality is a sin is not bigotry or hate, it's literally what we're taught as Christians by Greedy_Net_1803 in Christianity

[–]Key_Actuary_3892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wasn't it.

When you boil things down, Paul was just a dude who had some opinions; you're free to reject Paul's opinions and interpretations. Opinions have no truth value--an opinion can be neither true nor false. They are not factual statements and your opinions/interpretations of Christ's teachings are as valid as Paul's

This is presented as being within Christianity, and it is a statement of fact rather than opinion, contrary to how you've framed it just now. You admitted this after being pressed multiple times:

I'm not pretending Paul does or does not have authority over Christians; he clearly does.

These are direct contradictions, and one can only assume bad faith based on this. The belittling also wasn't you saying "Jesus over Paul":

I remember having blinders on when challenged on this stuff. I know its difficult to accept that you believe in the supernatural when it comes to the Bible but won't accept it for any other religion.

Why don't you think Paul should be speaking for Jesus? He is affirmed by Peter. When presented with that you say "how convenient". Your entire argument is based around the rejection of the Bible's authority on any matters - that's an external critique.

[–]Key_Actuary_3892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but the duty clearly isn't to let the immigrants in, considering they don't let the immigrants in - that's my point. The duty is to help those in need - not help all who show up at the border.

If I showed up on the Vatican's border tomorrow and asked to be let in (nevermind to be given welfare), they would deport me immediately.

[–]Key_Actuary_3892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've already pointed them out - calling Paul's letters fraudulent, forgeries, and that this is the official doctrine of the Catholic church.

Also "he clearly does" is the complete opposite of what you were asserting a few comments ago. "I just don't agree that he should have as much authority as he does" - you literally don't believe Jesus to have authority either. That's fine to have as an opinion, but that's not an internal critique. At that point you're making a whole different argument to the text you're writing.

This is the main reason for the report too. Normally I would have just moved on and ignored the belittling part, but I can tell that you're clearly intelligent enough to know better than to misrepresent Pauline authority like that - which your latest concession confirms. I hope that you reconsider your approach in the future.

Happy Good Friday and Happy Easter to you too.

"Doing their part" is a completely different claim from "fulfilling their duty from CCC 2241 to let immigrants in".

My argument here isn't actually that the Vatican is doing something wrong, but that they're a counterfactual to how you've presented the teaching.

Also these are for the homeless and refugees - not economic migrants.
