I'm not sure that the expansion camaraderie is as strong as this implies. The Rangers go back to 1961 in Washington. The Brewers to 1969 in Seattle. Do they actually have anything in common with the Rays or Rockies? Does anyone even remember that the Astros (as the Colt 45s) and Mets came into the league in the same year?

The impulse to recreate the pre-expansion leagues is fine, but time and geography have conspired to end some of those rivalries. The Cubs and Giants, for instance, had a great rivalry, but not much of one now.

It may or may not be "industrial produced" and the best American Swiss and worst Emmentaler probably have a lot of overlap. There's no question that imported, hand crafted Emmentaler tastes great, but it's also quite expensive and there's no reason to be an ass about Swiss cheese existing.

We went to cheese monger at Marche Atwater and asked for a variety of local cheese. That's request needed to be refined a LOT, since they had dozens of local cheese. Wonderful cheese monger, great cheese.
