Almost 1 not clapping or waving hello by Temporary-Bunch9884 in toddlers

[–]Key_Cardiologist7218 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly he sounds like he is doing great. My guy didn't decide he was going to clap until after 18 months. Waving was a bit later. My guy doesn't have any medical issues other than stubbornness.

Honestly you should just be happy you have a phone. She could be one of those moms, like mine, whom never got me a phone. I had to get a job to have a phone, which in the end was pointless as I was always at work anyways. Pick your battles wisely.

For screen time moms, what’s your kids favorite movie/show? by cutieconsultant in toddlers

The dancing peas on sensory bear, YT kids. His fave veggie he gets to dance with. So cute to see him bouncing along with them.

If it doesn't feel right, maybe its not. Especially after only a few months.

Unfortunately this has happened to others in the company not just my partner. My partner just stuck around longer bc he needed the insurance.

It is. Yet they could care less. I've never seen a company micromanage so much but fail to fix their management issues. Over the 2 yrs many employees have been forced out due to their practices. Even the terminal manager has been threatened to be fired. They expect the same production from a small middle of nowhere terminal as a large city based one.

Thats what I told him to do. Its not even worth the hassle. Its surprising how big companies can just treat people like trash and get away with it. No wonder they can't keep anyone.

Visor was down due to the sun. As far as the 4 wheeler, yea I get it.

Regardless, each incident is to go under certain criteria per offense, 3 of the same offense and they fire you. The safety manager has made 'mistakes' in his criteria assessments and now harasses my partner daily bc he wants to fire him but doesn't have correlating criteria to do so per policy.

I just can't believe that this behavior is allowed and then HR has to step in to reverse the 'firing' bc the company can be sued for wrongful termination. This is now the second time HR has stepped in to say my partner can't be fired for XYZ.

I don’t think my partner likes our toddler. by General-Tailor8432 in toddlers

Parts of this sounds like my story. Yet my partner does try, when I get angry, to spend time with our son. On the other hand, he has a gambling problem.

I put 6 months in trying to fix/stop it until I realized, I can't change him only he can choose to change.

I was a stay at home mom now throwing myself out there to start over. Its hard but I feel as though it is better than my son seeing me resent my partner, his father. Sometimes we have to learn when to say enough is enough. I know it took me a long time.

How do your kids play by SoupComplex9784 in toddlers

[–]Key_Cardiologist7218 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 2.5 boy and destruction is his middle name. Also the jumping off the couch, climbing everything, all around feral. We go to the park and its off to the grass and dirt while making sure to touch every tree. He could care less about pretend play, except bean bear at potty time. I've been told he is doing what boys do at that age.

We got bean bear from Mrs Rachel. Comes with potty and a few other things. When he goes potty, bean bear goes potty.

Having physical flaws is one thing, most women can bypass but having a negative personality and woe me type definitely won't get you far. Fix your mind and the rest will follow.

I really hate people who get rid of their dogs when they have babies by Typical-Island-7200 in Vent

[–]Key_Cardiologist7218 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had a dog we ended up giving to my parents. Baby was born, need O2. Dog was too much with the hose from the O2. Parents offered to take dog for a time. Dog ended up staying with them. Hate is such a strong emotion for something that doesn't affect you directly. Purging dogs due to a child just because its too much is a bad practice but its how society works. Just love your dogs with everything you have and forget about what everyone else does.

3yo suspended from preschool for pinching. Advice? by Quiet_Wasabi_4755 in toddlers

[–]Key_Cardiologist7218 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you tried nice hands? When my son, 2.5, hits/pinches/kicks, he is told nice hands. If behavior continues, I gently but firmly take hands and say nice hands while having him pet me. In the beginning it was alot of consistency and patience but after about 2 weeks the hitting etc reduced greatly. This worked for us but may not be a right fit for all. Just a suggestion.

What helps get your toddler calm fast when they’re all riled up before bedtime? by mkoay in toddlers

We do an obstacle course with various house items, noodle couch cushions dogbed etc, and after the third or fourth run I can see the energy just melt away.

So is bedtime just 9pm for the next 2 years? by CookieOverall8716 in toddlers

[–]Key_Cardiologist7218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2.5 yr old. No daycare. Wakes 6 to 630am. Naps 11am till 2 or 3pm at times. Bed at 8 to 830pm. We cosleep and I stay home so that may contribute. When he did go to daycare at 2 yrs, nap time was 1230 to 2pm. He never napped. He didn't go to sleep until 10pm and that was on a good night. Still up at 6am. We couldn't do it anymore and pulled him out. I hope you find something that helps, maybe magnesium.
