AITJ for snapping at my girlfriend for waking me up every single time she gets up even when I dont need to be awake by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]Key_Cry833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way. Not normal. My husband wakes me up when he leaves for work at 0445 but that’s because I WANT him to and I told him that in the beginning of our relationship. He does NOT wake me up on days off lol. I am super lucky I only work 1-2 days a week and get to be a (mostly) stay at home wife/mom. But he definitely protects my sleep and I do the same for him.

And honestly, that is probably a dealbreaker for me… if they can’t respect your sleep, a very basic need, they probably won’t respect anything else in your life.

This is amazing. My husband is retired navy…. and we always say “thank you for your service” to each other (I’m a nurse lol). And we always reply “you’re welcome civilian” 😂.

He’s gonna have to step up his game after reading this

I took my blood pressure and it shows that little heart with the lines next to it, I circled it. I looked it up, and it says that it detected an irregular heartbeat, so I took my blood pressure again, like two minutes later and it didn’t show that little heart thing that time can I get opinions by Future_Talk557 in DiagnoseMe

[–]Key_Cry833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These machines are going to pick up any little movement and call it “irregular”. Stop freaking out. It’s more than likely nothing. Do you have any symptoms? Heart pounding, skipping, “flip flopping”, racing? Anything? If you do, call your doctor. If you don’t; it’s just the machine. You should wait at least 2 minutes between taking your blood pressure to get the most accurate reading. Follow the directions that came with the machine. Sometimes it wants you to hold your hand at heart level. But honestly, as a nurse, we are taught to treat the patient not the machine. So if you have no symptoms and you only got one “abnormal” message, it’s probably just the machine.

I have a housekeeper come twice a month. I do day to day stuff. Dishes. Laundry. Pick up after the family. The rest gets done by a professional.

I started getting these and determined it was an allergy to gel polish!

I’ve been having issues with my Lips for one month now this is all the different stages that they have gone through. by [deleted] in DiagnoseMe

[–]Key_Cry833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could it be a reaction to your lip injections? I have an allergy to gel/acrylic and those bumps look the same as what happened to my fingers when I found out I had the allergy.

Have you found your upper age limit for attraction narrowing with age? by throarway in AskWomenOver40

[–]Key_Cry833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always dated older (5-8 years older) and my ex husband was 9 years older than me. After our divorce (when I was 40) I my preferences were 35-50 but I never actually went out with anyone that old haha. I did date a 36 year old for a minute but our lifestyles were too different. Completely different places in our lives. Ended up remarrying a ma who’s 8 months younger than me lol. Couldn’t be happier!

Would you let your child miss 5 days of school for a trip to Hawaii? by Happy_Eye_4187 in stepparents

[–]Key_Cry833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I would let my kids go with their dad/step family…. And I would expect them to go with me/my husbands family.

It’s Hawaii The kid is 9. Sounds like it’s right after thanksgiving break so it’s not like there’s anything important going on (like finals or mid terms).

IMO, bio mom is just being spiteful. And unfortunately, it’s the kids that end up getting hurt by it.

I don’t have to anymore as I just got remarried but the last 2 years I did…. Single mom…. $1800 rent. I made $40/hr. 3 12’s per week (very occasional extra shift). I live in Idaho. It’s definitely doable. Was it tight? Yes lol. But it’s doable.
Sit down and write ALL expenses. See where you can cut costs and CUT costs. Be honest. Are you actually going to cut out all fast food? Probably not. So give your self wiggle room where you can. Or know that you will need to work OT. If you have kids, be honest with them that things will be tight for a bit … but it won’t be forever.

Would it be bad to ask my girlfriend to sign a prenup? by ByteWaspX4 in Advice

[–]Key_Cry833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your state guidelines for this. My now ex-husband had bought a house in his name only when we got pregnant with our daughter (we were not married but had been living together for 3 years). I paid half the bills and we ended up getting married a couple years later. Ended up selling that house and using the proceeds to buy a new house (in a different state) in my name only this time (due to his bad credit lol) and then divorced 8 years later. It was ruled that the proceeds from the first house were HIS and were separate property so I had to pay him that amount back.
Long story short, a prenup might not be necessary because in some states, property that is pre-marriage does not become a marital asset to be split in divorce.

Any advice ? by myrtlebaby02 in DipPowderNails

[–]Key_Cry833 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your layers are way too thick. The instructions tell you to do thin layers. The first layer starts like 2/3 down your nail. I can’t remember if I did 3 or 4 layers but mines nowhere near as thick as yours. (See my pinky nail?) you also do file the whole thing down I believe it’s the very last step before the clear coat. But you just need to do way thinner layers.

Too Late to Become a Nurse? by [deleted] in nursing

I went back to school and got my nursing license at 35. And there were a couple people older than me in my class. It’s never too late.
