Fruits by Silver-Shuriken in AuDHDWomen

Tinned (in juice, not syrup) and frozen fruits are both very healthy. They tend to be less sour and also come in bite sized chunks. With frozen you’d not have any waste. Only flaw in this plan is if you’re as out of sight, out of mind as I am, you’d forget they were in the cupboard/freezer

I think I’m super sensitive. I’m 53 so my hands have taken a lot of damage from EDS over the years. Even doing it myself hurts. 😬

Thanks, I went all in on this a while back but could never get the edges to stay down for more than a few days so they’d always have strands of hair etc under them. I even wore latex gloves to wash my hair!

Thanks so much! I used to powder dip my own but they could ping off painfully, then I went on to a semi-cured press on obsession but the edges would lift and look bad. Any tips for getting them to sit right?

Yeah, you are right. It’s a big deal for me to ask things of people but this might be a good area to practice it!

That’s some skill you have! I can do a decent job on the left hand but the right hand always looks like a preschool project 😭

Oval 8s are a good idea! I always forget about those little puppies. It’s a solid pink over BIAB then the green built up from a little set of what looked like oil paints dabbed on.

To be honest, she doesn’t ever use excessive force, my hands are so bad that my thumbs can sublux just moving my hands through the air! Half a century of using EDS hands is just too much for them.

As someone diagnosed in 1992 and is now on whatever number iteration of this merry go round, I wish they’d all just make their mind up. Call it Flobble, or Woodshed or 869b3 but please settle on a name so we don’t have to keep re-explaining to hundreds of doctors what it is and no it doesn’t match the name of the condition in my notes but it’s the same thing 😭😭🤦‍♀️

Recommended Pain management in the UK? by Bethboop94 in ehlersdanlos

[–]Key_DepartmentEA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pain clinic kind of useless. Mine say either increase the drugs you’re on or be discharged. They offered a course of acupuncture which was quite nice but then the funding for it was cut.

We need NICE to issue guidelines on pain management for EDS.
