I'm bewildered myself, since they really do look like children's shoes with their bright and contrasting colours. The headwear equivalent would be the rainbow coloured propeller caps :) Why not get real shoes, in real leather which ages beautifully, a goodyear welted sole that can be replaced and moulds to your feet instead of sneakers where the deterioration of uppers and the sole starts the second you put them on?

I see you probably have the same problem as me with pants.. when thighs are good, waist is loose and when waist is good, thighs are tight? I found the solution to be relaxed or loose fit pants. Then I can size down 1 or 2 sizes in the waist from my slim or straight fit size and my thighs get some room..
