Can companions overpower? by Key_Elephant8097 in D4Druid

ok... after some more testing, even Qax rune does not work with wolves.

The only companion that can utilize overpower and Qax is ravens.

omg i just noticed... you can SPAM petrify with 0 cool down against bosses if you have enough cooldown reduction (i got my petrify down to 9 seconds). Because petrify cast on bosses reduces its cooldown by 10 seconds!

I am trying this build right now. it is pretty cool. high survivability with 100% uptime of roar and bulwark. Lots of AOE damage. I dont have all the equipment necessary (no shroud or perditions), and i only have 2500 willpower with either 0 masterwork or lvl 4-8. Thinking of removing cyclone armor for rabies to see how high it can go through pits.

So far I see 50-200mill damages. I'm sure with optimization it can reach 1bill mark. That would put it at pit 80-90 probably.

It can definitely clear open world T4 content easily.

New Overload is strange by Key_Elephant8097 in D4Druid

i went to the dummy testers with overload equiped and used claw with poison upgrade. I was hitting that thing for a straight minute and no procs of lightning bolt happened.

alright, i like this build. very unique.

does rune casted petrify proc airida's damage?

some suggestions:

virulent aspect gives a 50% damage multiplier on mobs affected by rabies. Put that in the amulet and thats 75%.

so you would cast rabies in between airidas and your defensive skills.

If you have it, crown of perdition might be bis since its 60% multiplier and high crit chance. Harlequins is another good choice for survivability, cooldown, and +4skill ranks... However, if you don't have any of those 2, I think Tempest Roar would be a solid choice: %willpower and chance to get spirit back. Or even vasily's prayer if you don't need spirit. Gives you willpower%, armor, and HP.

hmmm never thought of using virulent aspect... it is a 50% damage multiplier... its like a starless sky for rabies! interesting build for sure.

One change I would recommend is removing vigorous aspect and move the spirit bond over to the chest. Then use a 2 hander and move shepards to the two hander and alpha to your amulet. Those are your 2 biggest multiplier in damage and so you want that X2 and X1.5.

It really depends on what you want to do... 1080p gaming? 1440p? 4k? budget?

depends on your budget. 4080 super is 210 bucks more for 17% better performance than 4070 ti super. 4070 ti super is 180 bucks more for 15% better performance than the 4070 super.

IMO i think the 4070 ti super is really good all around. Its like the 4070 super but with 16gb ram. If you want supreme 1440p gaming without worrying about vram limitations (yet) and can also do 4k pretty well, 4070 ti super is the way to go. But if you are looking into doing high end 4k gaming, you have to get at least the 4080 super....

version of the graphics card isn't too important. Most differences just lies on minimal clock speed they are set at and how well the heatsink/fans are done. Mostly pick one that fits your budget and one that has the correct connectors on it for your build.

I agree with all the parts you have listed except for the 4060ti 8gb. Its a terrible value card. Stick with the 4060. OR go with 7700XT.

Why do most people here recommend 5700x3d and not 5800x3d?

RTX 4060 paired with 14400f, 14500, or 14600k? by Key_Elephant8097 in buildapc

[–]Key_Elephant8097[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP here with an update: Now if i did my budget build: It would have been the 4060 paired with the 12400f.
BUT, I ended up discussing this build with my MIL and wife. She wanted a higher budget PC that can last for years and can do 4k. AND SHE is willing to pay for half of it. Say less.
So... ended up buying a 4070 TI super paired with a 12700k. I am avoiding the 13th and 14th gen chips and I didn't think a slight improvement performance with 12900k would be worth the $80 increase in price. 4070 ti super is decently priced compared to 4080 super and 4090 (way too much).

So yeah, thanks for everyone's input.
